Jamon Brown was released today to clear space for Dante Fowler. He’s not an elite player but he was the starting RG for one of the better offensive lines last year. I believe he was rated as the 34th OG by PFF last year. He was slated to start at right guard again but a suspension to start the season opened the door for Austin Blythe who has really emerged into a high level player this year.
A former third round pick, he’s 25, serviceable with flashes of high level play and would cost about 1.5 million. I’d like to take a shot at him on waivers but a team like the giants will likely grab him.
