By the way, Jackson is at #33 with quite a few guys in front of him who are getting released or will have their number chopped down. We would actually be pushing 4 in the top 25. All non QBs. Stop guys... Christmas in March is over. You had your taste of being the Redskins and it bombed like everyone with a brain knew it would.
That I can agree with. We arent splurging this year unless Nicks decides to up and retire or somehow Revis/Goldson gets traded. Second wave of FA we will likely be bringing in some 2nd level guys to fight for starting positions and be depth. The only wild card on this is maybe Jared Allen.
Jairus Byrd - DB - SaintsSaints FS Jairus Byrd is undergoing "minor" back surgery on Thursday to correct a disc issue.According to coach Sean Payton, Byrd would not have undergone the operation were it the regular season. The team is "shooting" for Byrd to be ready for camp. Although the Saints appear to have dodged a bullet with the injury's severity, it's never a good thing when a player has to undergo surgery in May. As it is, there's no reason to worry about Byrd's status for Week 1.
Way to keep that under wraps through Free Agency. I wanted Byrd, and even though he is a better player than Goldson (if healthy) he got way overpaid too.
Byrd is a smart player who should put up a great year because of the style and talent the Saints have on defense. He is going to be Saints version of Kuechly... the media is going to talk about him all the time, so get ready for that.
