If you dont recall, that was the year where 6 qbs were taken in the first round (Marino, Kelly, and Elway notably). The one detail that kinda stuck out to me was how all the teams passed on Marino for what turned out to be smoke and mirrors, or just non issues from the past. Could that be fate of Jameis Winston? Really there is several similarities between how Winston is being evaluated now and how Marino was back in 1983. They were both cocky and overconfident. Both possessed that swagger or "IT" factor, and they were both big winners at prestigious schools. Also, Marino had a very down final year at college, much like who? You guessed it, Winston.I'm not saying Winston is the next Marino, in fact, as of a week ago i much preferred Mariota. Now im not so sure, but i think it might be worth the gamble. And if you got time, watch that 30 for 30, its on Netflix.
