I don't understand how Goldson makes the same type hit and gets a flag/fine. The top of the helmet hit the WR's neck area. >:(

He doesn't make the same type of hits. Goldson doesn't get treated unfairly by the league. Most of his penalties are legitimate and would be called against any other defender in the league. The question should be...why cant Goldson learn to hit legally like Chancellor or many other safeties do?He is stubborn, that is why.

If Goldson had made that hit they would have called it a penalty no doubt.

Yeah, there were plenty of helmet to helmet hits all night. Its the name on the back of the jersey that counts sometimes..... which is why the Bucs would be wise to move on from Goldson.

Because Goldson would have come in with his head fully lowered and would have delivered a blatant and violent helmet to helmet shot, which is not what Chancellor did. Goldson doesn't care how his hits look to the refs. The more blatant and violent the shot is, the more likely a PF is going to called.

You are trying to say there were no blatant helmet to helmet hits last night? Were you drunk?

To keep that train of thought going...I can't believe the refs called Goldson for headbutting a Dolphins player without a helmet on, after the play was over in the MNF matchup. So unfair how he is being bullied by the league when every other safety headbutts opposing players who arent wearing helmets.

Goldson is on Goodell's naughty list so the refs call any big hit he makes a penalty. No doubt the Chancellor hit would have been 15 yards if Goldson had made it.

Drunk? No...maybe slightly buzzed tho. Im just not into making excuses for a guy who played awful all year and committed legitimate penalties all year. I know that people will side with him simply becuase the league has went a little too far with enforcing a lot of the headshots and hits on the QB....but Goldson isn't a victim. The league actually went pretty easy on him. He probably should have been suspended 3 times last year. They overturned the 1st suspension most likely because they had just let Suh off the hook when his action looked a bit more damning than Goldson's. He definitely should have been suspended for what he did in the Miami game. There is no room for that in the NFL. The league office cant put on this "protect the shield" message and allow players to do what he did AFTER the whistle. Goldson has 4 unnecessary roughness penalties that have occurred after the whistle blows in the last 2 seasons. He is a hot head and the antics will most likely continue until he is cut..cause remember nothing is wrong with the way he plays, according to Goldson.

He played very poorly, the is no doubt about that. But its just as foolish to think that he is not a target of the NFL's front office (or that he wouldn't have been flagged making the same exact hit as any of the big hits Chancellor made last night). Yes, he did suck all year though.

Not being irrational or biased here....Goldson does have a bad rap with officials and it's obvious.

Its foolish to thing that the hit delivered by Chancellor was the same as the hits that got Goldson flagged in 2013, and possibly '12, '11, etc.As far as "would have he been flagged for that hit"...impossible to say. What is possible to say is that Goldsons hit would more likely had been more blatant,  which would have made it easier for the refs in the general area to reach for the flag.#poorgoldson

Bro, Im not trying to make excuses for him or sympathize for him. In fact, I think we should try to trade him. But the target upon his back is undeniable.
