Got some different priorities right now.
OK. A hypothetical - A referendum for a 1 cent sales tax comes up to put towards raising $800 mil for a RJ upgrade. The team will kick in maybe 20% of that and maybe some other sources from corporate or wherever kick some in, but at least half of it comes from the sales tax. And you can be sure there will be an increase in season ticket prices and maybe even some kind of seat license. Will you vote yes or no?
I think I’ve heard this song before… like when I helped pay for the 1st RayJay, or when they told me about these cool new toll roads - only a quarter per trip, and for only 20 years.
That was 30 years ago, and now I pay 3x that, and it worked so well they’re gonna keep doing it forever.

Maybe the owners can try something new - and what most small businesses have to do when they need to spruce up the place - look into a 2nd mortgage on their BILLION $$$$ franchises here in the US, and in the UK?
As for me, I don’t pay voluntary taxes. In fact, I go out of my way to avoid them!
Currently, the bank, the county, and home owners & auto insurance companies have their hands in both my, and my companies, pockets, and I don’t have a penny (or even half-a-penny, wink) to spare right now.
Look, I like you, this post is really not directed towards you, but I will emphatically NOT vote for a sales tax increase of any kind.
