He played for Ball State, so the competition wasn't great, but he threw for over 4000 yards, 35 TDs, and only 7 Ints this year. He isn't very mobile, but he has good size at 6'3" 220lbs and he shows great touch, accuracy, and anticipation. Tell me what you guys think. http://draftbreakdown.com/video/keith-wenning-vs-eastern-michigan-2013/ http://draftbreakdown.com/video/keith-wenning-vs-miami-oh-2013/
Looks like a Tannehill clone to me. Looks like the only major thing he needs to work on is his footwork is a bit slow. Technically sound but slow. Honestly he looks better than any of the QB'S from last year's draft.
He's not mobile like Tannehill. If he was, he'd be my favorite QB in this draft. As a pocket passer, I think he looks great.
The way he drops back and makes quick decisions reminds me of Tan. I would actually rate him as the no.3 QB in this draft class. He could be a mid round steal like Foles was. In 2011 Foles was my no.2 overall QB behind Cam Newton but a bunch of scrubs were drafted ahead of him. It could happen again. Nice find JDub.
I don't mind Wenning if we grab him late to let Tedford develop him as the backup this season
Yeah, I like him. Good find.
Looks like he has a great arm but throws kind of flat footed. He doesn't get his legs and hips into it. I don't have time to watch all these, but how does he do under pressure?
He does well under pressure. He plays confident, stands tall, and keeps his eyes down field. While he doesn't have great mobility to take off and run, he moves around the pocket very well and is not effected by defenders being near him. He has a nice quick release and good zip which allows him to wait till the last moment to make the throw.
I like him more than Carr. Would be a long shot but worth a late round pick.
Good player, would really like to bring in a QB though that has decent mobility.

Me too man. I wish Wenning was mobile. He's worth a late pick though. If we are gonna have an immobile pocket passer as our back up, I'd rather it be Wenning than Glennon. Wenning is a similar player to Glennon, but he doesn't appear to have the choke factor like Glennon.

If we don't pick a QB earlier I'm all for it. Gotta wonder how much of Glennon's choking factor was because of Schiano's unaggressive play calling in the 2nd half, or from his own abilities.
He was never clutch in college either, so I really don't think it was Schiano.
