I don’t know where Kevin stack ranks in the lexicon of OL coaches in the league but, he certainly seems to cobble together effective lines whether it be the starters or a rag tag bunch of cast offs, it’s apparent he knows how to coach the position. IMO the OL coach is the third most important coach on the field. We have had some also-rans coaching this position in the past. Carberry seems to be a keeper.
Yeah he is good and I think that Licht recognized this quickly when the Bucs run game was not going anywhere for years. Partly because of play calling scheme but also how the Ol players are developed and coached.
So glad Coen brought him here and Licht for not letting him leave with Coen.
Agreed. Licht hasn’t been perfect but he certainly recognizes talent when it’s right in front of him. Which sounds obvious if not sarcastic but, many evaluators are deficient with this.
It’s nuts how well we have played on the OL. This dude deserves all of the accolades.
Bowles agrees
"“I think those guys are settling in, you know, two weeks in with Bredeson back where he is and Barton back where he is and Tristan back where he is, and Heck at the right [tackle] and Haggard at the right [guard], you know, it’s become normal,” Bowles told the Buccaneers Radio Network. “You forget that we got two guys out and those guys did a heck of a job battling all day. We didn’t get as much in the run game, but we got a lot in the pass game. They did a good job keeping Baker [Mayfield] clean.”
Pass blocking agreed
Run blocking not so much
