Missouri DE Kony Ealy will enter 2014 NFL DraftMissouri junior defensive end Kony Ealy will enter the 2014 NFL Draft, he said in a news conference after the Tigers' 41-31 win over Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night. Ealy (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) had 9.5 sacks this season, including two in the Cotton Bowl. His departure means Mizzou will lose both starting defensive ends; Michael Sam, who had 11.5 sacks this season, is a senior. Ealy also had 14.5 tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hurries and three forced fumbles this season. This season was Ealy's second as a starter. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2010, then played extensively as a backup in 2011. He came on strong in the second half of this season. Ealy runs well -- he has been clocked as fast as 4.77 seconds in the 40 -- and is equally adept stopping the run and rushing the passer. He will be one of the most well-rounded linemen in the draft. Assuming he tests well in pre-draft workouts and at the combine, Ealy easily could be a first-round pick. He always has been athletic and has improved his technique each season.

I love both of Mizzou's DE's.
Like him a lot. Not sure he will rise to 7 but I can't see anyway he falls to R2
talented player, but prefer Watkins or an OL
I think we will go in the mid to late 1st round. Already being linked to Dallas
Good DE prospect. Aldon Smith was a more explosive athlete coming off the edge but Ealy has some juice too. I'm not sure if he is a top 10 prospect yet but if he tears up the combine he could be second DE taken after Clowney.
Whay's happened to the Stanford DE Murphy? not sure of his nameheard more about him a month ago, been quiet lately
Trent Murphy
beast
Will probably go mid to late first
Thanks
When you watch his film from the game posted the first two things that show up early and repeatedly is the lack of violent hand usage and once engaged he stops moving his feet allowing the blocker to stonewall him at the LOS. Not good traits to have coming out early. While I like him I do not think he is a lock to be a first round pick. Couple his production being it only one season and its real possibility that he falls to the early to mid second round.
So if he falls to the 2nd, do we take him? Assume we acquired a FA DE.

Agreed. As I re-watch this a few times I see a lot of shoulder rushing.
I think he's a solid 5-7 sack per year guy. Me want more.
