I have waited until now to post a response to the season we all witnessed. I will try and be a rational and tackful as possible. If I start to ramble bare with me, got allot to say.First we all fed into the we are ready to win now and whatnot before the season started. Evidently, that was an overstatement and we soon found that we had/have a lot of holes that need to be dealt with starting with QB- more on that later. I have been a fan since I was young enough to remember and have stood by as most fans have through thick and thin. I even took my kids back to Tampa where I was raised to watch the us loose against the vikings- none theless it was fun to see Ramond James for the first time. Since we live in Mn we have attended every game the bucs played when they came to town and in that situation we were on a 6 game winning streak against the vikes!! I have played football in highschool and in college and understand basic fundamentals of the game as well. I will always be a bucs fan no matter what, but constructive critism will be voiced as we as fans deserve a product that is not only fun to watch but competitive and entertaining as well. If I was a season ticket holder I would have been close to pulling my tickets and just watching from home. In fact even a true fan has other things to do when you see year after year this kind of pathetic performance especially on the offensive side of the ball in key areas starting with our QB and O-line!Qb- all we want for a late christimas present this year is a franchise QB- you got to out there scouts please for gods sake do your homework!! and send us an athletic, smart, and good characther of a Qb- we all know you guys will be in the stands watching so lets get the guy who can not only escape and pick up the first down, but READ defenses!! We know MCCown is your man and for the most part he is a nice guy tough guy, but I don't want to see him in a bucs uniform after this season without some sort of competition in the number two and 3 spots...he knows his days are numbered, but some of the bone headed mistakes can't all have to do with the corridenator although that had allot to do with it( picks in the enzone and the redzone un acceptable!!)...Glennon is really not that much better although McCown can run a little. Offisive cordinator- we need with our new prize QB that will hopefully be picked.... an O-line that can block for him with the exception of a couple on that line blow the whole thing up! We need to protect the new Qb as he will be running for his life as everyone knows new Qb's are a target of oppossing D's that want to welcome them to the NFL- ie Manziel..lol If you look at Freeman when he was just starting out here the fact that he could escape and run is when he was at his best in that first yr and 1/2- until he just lost it overthrows underthrows, personal issues and such. Hopefully he can get it together and get back in the league someday. Coach Smith in the new age of football and this passing league we need to beable to be creative on offense. This pitter pat vanilla style of O we saw early and all through the year is waaaay to predictiable....We have studs in Jackson and Evans they and a couple others wherein we need a high powered offesinsive scheme that utilizes our guys talents. Jackson has been nothing but solid for us DON'T LET HIM GO!!!.....yes he had some drops and slumps, but more than not he is a stand up guy and player and now with Evans it will be hard to defend those two WITH hte right plays and corrinator. Is the Packers offensive cordinator available???? or does THE PACKS head coach call all they're plays..?? We need that type of guy calling the plays. Coach Frazier if your reading- please reach out to Peterson...he may be available...as long as he has cleaned up his way of thinking in discplining children...That would give you coach smith the running game you want not to mention claock control and open up the passing game....So we need a high caliber offensive corrdinator that will expose D's!!D- looks likes it's coming together, but there are holes there as well safety, and corner help... lets not forget a solid DE that can disrupt and get to the QB...we need depth behind the starters....time to say goodbye to those that have not been working out running real fast past and QB is not gonna work anymore!!!...so whomever doesn't get sent packing in the next few couple months needs to understand that in 97-2002 anyone who stepped in behind our starters were solid....Kelly, Jackson, Biggers at times to name a few... it just seemed like we had solid backups so lets explore that in the offseason, but we need several new starters first....Discipline- why in the world did it seem like we would have so many penalities!! Well that got cleaned up the past few games but too mucch too little too late as the song goes...we need to get that straight from the jump!! no boneheaded penalties!! Discpline- Hurry up offesense I am tired of seeing us chew up 8 nine minutes of time on the clock only to see the other team in the next series fly down the field and score or in a few cases the other team knew we had such a vanilla style of play calling on the offesive side of the ball that they would beat us at our own game and chew the rest of the clock up. We need guys husstling to the line of scrimmage when we are down by a couple touchdowns and such with 8 to 9 minutes to go...ie Rogers and company- you don't see them jogging to the line of scrimmage when they have to score quick...its crisp, quick and ready to get you offguard...like when we have 12 guys on the field!!!urrrgg Coach Smith- again will you be willing to change up your style a bit to coform to the way the game is played now. We need D yes but we can't just play for D to get strips and hope for the best...not the way our O played- hopefully we can have both but it will take creative ways of getting the guys on O having fun on in that passing and running game....Few games over the past few years that stick out- in these games we blew leads after halftime against the best teams that still hurts so maybe go back and see why we lost those games......Fans remember Denver on the road we were up 10 at the half--- we lost in the second half.Fans remember Giants few years ago..when we were up and had them guessing then second half lost...!! there are others where we came back and won too like in Mn we were down 17 at the half and won that game I was there and it was great to to see the purple go down..lol...so this has been the story of our fransise for years blowing leads or coming back and then scratching our heads...like what team will step up next week type of thing....too many false hopes!!!Finally as a fan I will not sugar coat anything, but will comment as tactful as possible and on sundays I sit and yell at the TV...as it was hard to watch this year. That is the game we all love and you guys coach you got a lot of fans that want change and not given false hope like we had earlier in the year. If we are not good then say it please, if the media ask you a question be willing to answer as in most cases you have, but in some cases it seemed you were stubborn of giving comments. Sorry if I seemed a little harsh, but I wanted to get a few things off my chest and hopes that we can do this right for a long time...the league is watching, the fans are watching and waiting!!! It starts with that # 1 pick Do the right thing draft THE RIGHT QB!!Go Bucs!!!!
