I am confused. He isn't going to have final say over the roster.....Lovie is. And he just said that he won't be dealing with agents, contracts, or managing the cap...some other unnamed person will. So how exactly is he our GM and not just Director of Player Personnel? And why did we not just keep Dom to continue doing contacts/cap management?
Dom's cap and contract guy is still here. Maybe that's what he meant.
He was asked about draft/player authority at least 3 times. His last answer was if he and Lovie, after some spirited discussion still did not agree on a guy, he would NOT pick the guy come draft time. Decisions about the draft would be made well before the event.
Well that's not confusing at all...
Why are the local media types so bent on the "Kansas City" turnaround?
I don't know.. New coach, Winning football, playoffs, I have no idea why they would be so bent on something like that.
A wild-card loss every 4 to 5 years? Then, back to earth with a new coach...
Andy Reid has been there for 4 to 5 years? And turnaround are you looking for? Pats, broncos, SF?
Andy Reid has been there for 1 year... That points out how shallow the question is, but is repeatedly asked as if it's crucial to get that playoff loss. I'd rather they asked him what his involvement was with the Carson Palmer trade.
It is what it is!!!!! Key point is the people making football decisions for this team last few years are no longer here. The ones that are here now are so much better and qualified to carry out important well thought out Football matters. Thats all that's important from here on out!
Seems like he is more of Dennis Hickey's replacement than Dom's replacement. I wonder who will be handling the contracts/cap now.
I would assume Mike Greenberg at least while he is still employed by the Bucs. http://www.buccaneers.com/team/staff/mike-greenberg/c2f64209-be37-46de-9db7-f6bf0dc4777c

What about Golic?

Someone needs to take up the thermostat monitor role...
Or maybe you are reading into it too much like you do everything.
Already looking for a reason to be mad?I'm sure he told the team's exact draft strategy to some local reporter that he doesn't know yet.Come on man.
Oops he pulled a Morgan
Oops he pulled a Morgan
Doesn't surprise me...his ego couldn't handle looking retarded. He has to maintain his strict posture of King of the Red Board.
I'm sure that he's neither gonna say "I have the all the pow mwahahahahaha" nor "I'm Lovie's ill' B"The reports continue to be, other than PR, that he has signing and draft power and Lovie has final 53.

Wow. Thanks man. I had no idea you felt so highly of me.
Lol
Licht saying Dashon Goldson is a core player to build around
To me, that means Goldson won't be here next season.
Yes he will. The Bucs save no money at all by cutting him.
I don't think it's a money issue. I feel it's a performance (or lack there of), issue.
