I think Adams just retired and McVay actually said he almost cried lol when his guy left

The point though is that it is a positive development and not that unusual

2 out of 30+ coaches have one. I wouldn't call that the norm

i think it’s 30-40% of teams. I just used two example of coaches who people glorify as “geniuses”

it’s weird to watch you guys take a positive and treat it as proof of a negative lol or to rationalize a good move or bad move as for against Bowles, depending how it meshes with your point of view. Bowles is an idiot for needing a time management coach and he was forced to hire one lol. Like before with Canales being forced to run by Bowles. Anything that is failure is Bowles anything that is not was someone else lol

Sure to pop some brains

Being a defensive coach, I learned that you win by scoring points,” Bowles said. “I don’t ever want to bypass a very good offensive player. I can figure things out enough on defense to keep us competitive.

“I would like to have some defensive players if that presented itself, but by no means will I bypass a very good offensive player just to satisfy my needs on defense.

“We can figure out how to keep the score down, but you can’t figure out a way to keep scoring points, especially if your horses go down. You can never have enough horses on offense. “

When did he learn this?

This morning?

Licht says the Bucs depth at CB is good but Bowles says the Bucs need more depth at CB.

GM and HC do not always agree so there is that.

There’s also a lot of “draft speak” this time of year

Of course because Licht is the GM and he can not tip his hand.

But Bowles has been vocal along with Licht about Dean missing time.  If the Bucs do not go CB in round 1 or 2 I think they take a project to train for a year in round 4 to start day 3 IMO.

Nah.

Bowles has clearly felt that way for years.

The proof is in the pudding.

If he said it, I believe it. I'm a simpleton that way.

I imagine there’s a little misdirection from both of them

It's a positive move. It's a glaring weakness for Bowles.

I know Blayton is right, I was frustrated  the week before free agency, bought into the lack of information and took it as a sign that we had capitulated… then we signed Hassan…

Dont get me wrong, I get the negativity, last year Bowles defense was horrible - mostly due to talent forcing him to commit to blitzes too heavily, pulling guys out of coverage to generate pressure. However, I do think a big portion of misdirection is on the table right now. So, it gives some insight to keeping that powder dry.

Weak division, locked-in elite offensive talent, improving defensive outlook…we could be priming for some fun.

No, it was horrible. It is the reason we lost many games the offense kept us in. We matched up poorly offensively in some games, but the defense played worse at the end of the season. It is based on a lack of talent.

They committed what resources they had to stopping the run, first.

…but defense was THE problem.
