To start I am a little surprised but very happy this happened.  What this also tells us (IMHO)  is things may not have been like so many posters here claimed.  To start, if this was a complete rebuilding project from day one, I think Lovie would have gotten one more year.  But like I've said before and even how Lovie told us, he thought this team was ready to compete from day one.  I think Smith convinced/sold the Glazers he was coming in like Gruden, to win a SB, not like Dungy to rebuild a team.  And he totally failed at that.  Winston was not the plan, he was the result. Also, the timing is not a total shock.  I was giving it to weeks end.  The Glazers history is not showing their hand.  They let the year end and things get wrapped up.  Then they have a sit down with the HC and GM and discuss the future.  Obviously, Lovie's "plan" was not one the Glazers wanted to follow.  I'm not convinced Lovie was fired out of fear of losing Koetter.  But Koetter being there made it easier to fire Lovie.  This has been the Glazers mode of operation and should not be a huge surprise to anyone. As for the fans and RB posters.  Yeah, I am a little smug and I'll get a kick out of watching certain posters squirm and back pedal.  But I'll refrain from taunting them.  There will be plenty of trolls to do that.  But I will simply ask each one of them, just like they demanded of those who wanted Lovie fired, Lovie is no longer the HC, get over it and support you team.  If you are a real fan of the Buccaneers, that is exactly what you will do.
