A big reason for why the Bucs were so good at stopping the run (besides McCoy and David being beasts) was that they would blitz on any down.
That all sounds great in theory but if teams find out that they can run the ball at will, that's exactly what they will do. Does the 12-8-08 MNF game against the Panthers ring a bell? Talk about a hopeless feeling. Both Kiffin's final Bucs teams and Morris' teams were pretty much that way. Schiano didn't do much else but at least he finally gave the Bucs a respectable run defense.

No I think they'll keep Spence in the rotation because the 3 tech still needs a NT. Lovie drafted Stephen Paea kinda high and he didn't bring much to the pass rush.

I can see the Bucs using Spence as a throw-in in a draft day trade, especially in a move down.On another note, I love how direct both Lovie and Licht are when talking about this time and what they need to do to improve. No games, no BS.
