Lovie will most likely run some form of his T2, I'm sure with some evolution, so he needs his sacks from the front four. He also needs a MLB with some pop sledding downhill, and some agility and speed (athleticism). Foster is simply not that guy, IMO. Slide him out to strong side, let David dominate from the weak side as usual, and...Watch Lovie draft a middle linebacker prospect after he trades out of spot #7...You can be the will take a DE at some point, most likely a backup tackle, a tight end, and a MLBer. So who is that MLB we need to get Lovie's system stabilized?(if the Bucs trade the 7, secure a solid first rounder in return plus some throw in, is that reasonable?

I am sorry and not to be rude but how many freaking times does it have to be said???? Lovie has even come out and said it himself, they are not running the damn Tampa Two every damn play. EVERY team in the league runs it at times and NO team runs it primarily. In Lovie's last couple years with the Bears they ran primarily Man Free. Get that picture of Urlacher, during their Super Bowl run, running down the field with the TE every play. That is not happening here in Tampa more than a few times a game.

He certainly would fit in this defense with his slight size. I'd be for it if it gets Foster out of the middle. He shouldn't be playing there.
SLB isnt a big player in lovies D.. Foster would be an upgrade at SLB.. Less coverage more run stopping and blitzing.

Yeah. Thanks for the update.Like I said in my original statement...not to be rude...but I said some form of the T2, with SOME EVOLUTION. I have read the statements made by Lovie, but more importantly, I watched BEARS games when he was the coach...So what sort of defense will Lovie run than, Bucs449? Is he going mostly man, with some zone, some hybrid zone? Again, he will be running base formations out of the 4-3, and he will be running the T2 more than its fair share, I'm certain. So he will need a stud linebacker in the middle to cover the seams, cover the Cam Newtons of the world, the Grahams of the world...

Not in the middle. we all know this by now. Unless he improves vastly from this season to the next, he is a liability in coverage, and Lovie isn't going to have that.He will be kicked to the strong side, Watson will backup David, Hayward can backup strong and middle, and the BUcs need to go out and draft a MLB relatively early, or pickup an athletic MLB with some downhill thump to him. Lovie will be running a 4-3, and he will utilize the cover2 more than not. Bucs need that "Urlacher" in the middle. We have the "Briggs" already. :D
Coverage is not his strong suit but liability is an exaggeration. I mean the guy returned 2 ints for touchdowns . Our coverage issues stem mostly from our 2 and 3 corners , who couldn't cover their own shadows.Mason had a good season overall. LB should not be a priority for us.
