If Lovie is the Savior everyone seems to think he is, he should be able to adjust and scheme for the talent he has.

This.

The Chiefs had 30 new players. The Eagles had 21 new players. Good coaches tweak things to take advantage of talented players, but they also replace guys who don't fit.

I'll agree with that. I was more speaking to a supposed need for an overall stud MLB. If Foster's particular skill set doesn't fit what Lovie wants, I'm sure he can make due with a different non-stud MLB.

Sure - I agree. I've thought since Lovie got hired that Foster was the starting D least likely to thrive. Not that Lovie can't work with him, but it just seems unlikely that'll he'll get such a juicy downhill role.

Foster being a liability in coverage is being exaggerated. He struggled in his first couple years but improved tremendously last year and I would say played above average in coverage. I swear some of the people who post here don't even watch the games.

You have that backward. Good coaches create schemes to fit their talent. Otherwise you end up releasing Blount because he doesn't fit your scheme.

Good question boid. I dunno though, Foster just seems to be a middle of the pack guy. I rather us pick somebody up in FA like Wesley Woodyard and slide Foster then to draft his replacement R1, especially at #7. Don't get me wrong getting a good player like CJ Mosley would be great but it won't affect the W/L column as much as a QB or Watkins would do. Look around the league, how many great defensive teams need a stud inside backer? I don't think Foster is too much behind Curtis Lofton, D'qwell Jackson and David Harris. Examples of above average ILB that anchor good defenses but will never be a "stud" - top 10 player.

I don't think we are as far of as you imagine.  The reality is that there are 53 players on the roster, and unless you create the roster entirely from scratch, you are going to have players who either aren't fits or whose cost and/or role isn't worth changing the scheme over.  You create the scheme to work for GMC, David, Revis, and Barron.  You don't build it to highlight Dekoda Watson. Outside of Belichick, how many coaches truly overhaul their scheme? They make adjustments here and there, but the largely find players who fit want they want to do and get rid of the players who don't. Blount wasn't traded (he wasn't released) because he wasn't a "scheme" fit, anyway.

I don't think I have ever advocated the Bucs to pick up a MLB.  And I do not really now.I just think this is what Lovie will do.  Eventually.Clever though Goldson Ages...really clever.

If we somehow trade back or he falls to the second round... Ryan Shazier this guy is a just a violent version of Lavonte David undersized fast and instinctive, No doubt hes gonna be one of the better Lb's in the league http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iql1UpBn_nQ
