Lovie is a smart guy. He will do what needs to be done to win.
Also heard an interview with Lovie at the combine with the Sirius guys this morning...The only thing that stuck out was he said he hadn't really started working on the draft yet - all their focus has been on Free Agency until today.
Blind, if that's true, why didn't he bring any qbs in besides kafka?Maybe he just doesn't like the options that are out there right now? They really aren't all that, so I could understand his reluctance.
Well, there are personnel evaluations done by scouts on college players, but I think Lovie is saying that his focus thus far has been on Free Agency.
Draft strategy anyone?
I like Glennon, but I know not to be married to him. If Lovie is taking the same approach, he wins 'essential' points with me. Glennon 'might' develop, but we may or may never know. One problem I noticed was his decision making. It was sometimes not seeing better options . . .

Free agency hasn't started yet so there aren't many options available.
Sander Philipse ?@Bucs_Nation 2mLovie Smith: We want to upgrade quarterback position
BOOM! Little bits of Giraffe just flew everywhere.
True b4e. In other words, HE has been studying up the fa's, not the team as a group.Still, not a terribly active fa thus far. And idk if he would give away our hand just yet. Signing a top fa qb would give teams below us an idea or what we're looking for.

I love the spin.....what coach doesn't want to upgrade every position.
The Seahawks don't want to upgrade QB nor do the Broncos, Pats, Colts, and a lot of other teams. You're logic is fail but I guess you need that logic to sleep well at night. :p

LMFAO...!that's the funniest thing I've heard in awhile. God bless you man.(Trying to stop laughing)
Read Sanders interview. He didn't even specifically ask about Glennon, but Lovie made a point to say he wants to upgrade the QB position. Then he went on to say they can win some games with Glennon, but he wants a franchise guy. No coach speak. Very straight forward and clear. Love it.
Can wait to see what the excuses will be.Contestant #1...c'mon down!!
Still, not a terribly active fa thus far.
It won't be a very active free agency until free agency starts March 11th.
Ah, I see the plan now....Lovie wants 6 teams ahead of him that will select a quarterback and that will push Clowney down to us!!!Brillant! :PSeriously though, I think this is 80% smokescreen and 20% fire. If a quarterback that we rated highly IS there at #7, you have to consider it, but if you can get someone to jump over you and take a quarterback that just pushes another player down the stack, maybe the one you really want.#Gamesmanship
