DFT = 1) Tackles for a loss2) Turnovers, or pass deflections leading to interceptions by someone else3) Tackles, assists, or PDs that prevent conversion on third or fourth downThrough week 14 David had 43 of those plays (best in the NFL) Kuechly had 27...LOL http://www.footballoutsiders.com/extra-points/2013/lavonte-davids-quietly-huge-year
luke koochie is overrated as hell. how he won dpoy is beyond me. Honestly his numbers were not dpoy year numbers.
Kuechly is a dominant defensive player. Bucs fans are just haters, plain and simple.
Luke Kuechly: 156 tackles, 4 INTs, 2 sacks, 0 FF, 7 PDs, 10 STF Lavonte David: 144 tackles, 5 INTs, 6 sacks, 2 FF, 10 PDs, 18 STF
Leave it to casual fans to compare the numbers of 2 players who play 2 completely different positions. If you really believe that MLBs and WLBs do the same thing then you don't know a thing about football. As I said Bucs fans are just hating.

It's obvious that the game of football is beyond you as well.

HMMM...lets see Keuchly's job is mainly to read and react right? Funny that is what LVD did most of the time too...except David just does it a lot faster than kuechly...keuchly stats are way inflated and he is in no way a dominant player that teams have to gameplan for. Go re-watch the game he had 24 tackles in...and tell me if he really had 24 tackles LOL.

So then why weren't Dekoda Watson's numbers anywhere near either of them?? If all LB jobs are the same?
I still think he's a good player. Not better than david, but still respectable.I knew LK was going to be good, but LD caught me off guard. What a pleasant surprise he has been in a very gloomy era of buccaneer football.
Kuechly is a good player but if watch the games, you can clearly tell he is outclassed by David. The numbers support it. David, for two years in a row, has clearly outplayed the guy. People get caught up in the tackle numbers. If that is what defines a LB, then Ruud should be in the HOF.
Again I'll say leave it to Buc fans to compare 2 players who play different positions. That's like saying Gerald McCoy is overrated because he doesn't put up the sack numbers that J.J. Watt does.

I wonder how dominant he would have looked if he'd have been flagged for all those PI & holding penalties that the officials never called.Or maybe maybe if he was actually on the field for all the things he gets credit for, like how he was getting phantom tackles added to his stat line in the Saints game when he was on the sideline.

It's this kind of fabrication and speculation that makes all Buc fans look like sour pusses.

Right because it's only Bucs fans that saw those things and find him being DPOY a joke. It's not like that post even said that a Buc should have won it instead, David should have been in the running but there are so many others that should have been higher in the voting than LK.

yep.
Greg Hardy is a decent player but Gerald McCoy is better. Who cares if they don't even play the same position. Go Bucs!!!! Woot! Oh and Greg Hardy is like some mediocre player that played for us 5 years ago. Someone like Stylez G. White. . It's a good comparison because they are both the same color.
