Kuechly is a dominant defensive player. Bucs fans are just haters, plain and simple.
Luke Kuechly: 156 tackles, 4 INTs, 2 sacks, 0 FF, 7 PDs, 10 STF Lavonte David: 144 tackles, 5 INTs, 6 sacks, 2 FF, 10 PDs, 18 STF
Leave it to casual fans to compare the numbers of 2 players who play 2 completely different positions. If you really believe that MLBs and WLBs do the same thing then you don't know a thing about football. As I said Bucs fans are just hating.
Bootz.. poking the bear over here as well I see.

I wonder how dominant he would have looked if he'd have been flagged for all those PI & holding penalties that the officials never called.Or maybe maybe if he was actually on the field for all the things he gets credit for, like how he was getting phantom tackles added to his stat line in the Saints game when he was on the sideline.
It's this kind of fabrication and speculation that makes all Buc fans look like sour pusses.
Spoken like someone who didn't watch any Panthers games outside of the 2 against the Bucs.
Kuechly is a good player but if watch the games, you can clearly tell he is outclassed by David. The numbers support it. David, for two years in a row, has clearly outplayed the guy. People get caught up in the tackle numbers. If that is what defines a LB, then Ruud should be in the HOF.
Yep.
For the millionth time, Kuechly and David don't have anything to do with each other. Kuechly was drafted in the same spot the Bucs picked Barron. It should be Kuechly versus Barron.
In that case:Luke Kuechly: 156 tackles, 4 INTs, 2 sacks, 0 FF, 7 PDs, 10 STFMark Barron : 142 tackles , 3 INTs , 2 sacks , 1 FF , 16 PD's , 7 STFPretty comparable....

What would happen if you called each team and inquired about trading for that player? Carolina: "Not in a million years."Tampa: "Who are you offering in return?"
I think the Bucs new regime is pretty happy about what they have in Barron/Lavonte combo from that draft ....especially once we put him in a real system that doesn't ask him to cover Desean Jackson one-on-one deep down the field. That system was extremely demanding and unrealistic with what it asked from the safeties. It's coming out now just how difficult and confusing the secondary calls were and how often the players were on different pages because of it. That system would have made John Lynch look like shlt.Dude already had a really good season last year considering , he is going to own in Lovie's Cover 2 .

So you're saying Barron deserved to be DYOP? Right...No, honestly this proves my point. Any fan who believes that Luke Kuechly and Mark Barron are "pretty comparable" at this point in their career is a complete idiot and has no business discussing football. Barron is the reason why you don't draft a safety top 10. Especially one who can't cover. They don't have near the same impact on the field.

What, exactly, does Kuechly bring to the table that LD doesn't?
Good point. I guess that's why tons of middle lb'ers get picked in the top 10 every year....oh wait, they don't....

Ummm show me where I said this please
Kuechly gets away with blatant penalties better than David.

About the same number of Inside LB'ers get selected in the top 10 as Safety's do. The thing is, when you choose to take one of those non-premium positions in the top 10, you better make sure he's going to a helluva player. Like a player that could win a Defensive Player of the Year award. Tampa passed on that guy to pick a player that has thus far proven to be an average, at best, NFL Safety.
At "best" he's proven to be elite. Barron has had some dominating games , despite your denials of this fact. .....at worst he's proven to struggle in a scheme that we are now learning was a clusterf*ck for the secondary players to try and play in . See the latest Fab 5 if you don't believe me.

Biggest homer response ever! Mark Barron dominant???!!
