"We" haven't learned anything. Many of us knew that the scheme was crap for some time, starting with using a top ten pick on a Safety because of the perceived importance within that crappy scheme.

Is that not dominant enough for you and Bootz ? .....maybe if he would have literally tackled a receiver who burned him for the game winning TD and not got called for it , Kuechly stlye ?? Would that have impressed you more ?? LOL

Team game....a player can play great and have his team lose or even get blown out.It's ok...you can admit Barron looks great at times. You are going to have to eventually , he's only going to get better.
Breaking news: Barron is not elite. A couple of decent games? Sure but hardly elite. Not even close. Time for him to start shining. Having basically two strong safeties was poor roster mgmt by Dom. No surprise there. And who goes out and gets head hunters when the league is trying to legislate them out of the game. STupid.
I didn't say he is elite. I said he's had games where he's played at an elite level. As it stands now he is just a good player.He has been inconsistent , some of it his fault , but a lot of that seems to have to do with the secondary scheme which Goldson and Revis have both said was a train wreck in which guys didn't know where they were supposed to be.

That's not proof Barron being elite. Reshard Jones, among other average Safety's, had similar stat lines in as many games. Barron being elite is an opinion of yours, nothing that can be factually proven.Is it really that difficult to admit that Kuechly is a better NFL player than Mark Barron so far in their careers? You took a pretty big step a few days ago, when you finally manned-up and admitted you were wrong about Gerald McCoy after initially saying you were right all along. This is another opportunity for you to do same thing.
I don't think Barron is better than Kuechly. I think David is better than Kuechly.I simply think Barron is also a great building block for this team , and love our draft that season.
Kuechly would have been the perfect Urlacher for Lovie in Tampa.
