Well the offense stayed on the field longer so that helped.
yes, two big adjustments. Bowles with the switch to deal with Jefferson and Canales with the switch from the first half "send Ko Kieft deep" offense (LOL) to one that ran a bit, payed to strengths
Obviously just one game, but yesterdays game was a bit of a tester for the Red Board faithful. White playing like a stud, Bowles going for it . . .
The team deserves a bunch of credit from players to coaches. Not easy to win in NFL. Let alone on the road for the first game, against a Flores defense no less
They got an underneath db and a safety just dropping.
And, they ultimately got a 1:1 with one of the best high point receivers in the league for the last decade.
Slightly overthrown, otherwise it’s a good chance for a catch or possible DPI.
Will take this look all day, every day with Evans.
But it's pretty clear that we should predominantly play man coverage and are built for bump and run.
Not sure why that’s so hard for someone to comprehend. Literally the point you’ve been making all along.
Definitely agree with the offense statement as well. Sustained drives, in key situations no less.
Big positives.

Not surprisingly, the “send Ko Kieft deep” is a falsehood.
The first “deep” pass to Kieft, Godwin was the initial read off of PA. Baker hesitated before looking him off. But, he had him.
The second “deep” pass was great execution. Kieft was open and Baker whiffed on an EASY touchdown.
Again, lots of positives to take away from the offense.
1. Completely new route concepts and levels.
2. Adjustments. I mean, that’s a foreign concept.
3. Balance.
Hope to see more growth and continued positive trajectory.

The comparison was first half to second and the HUMOROUS description was "the SWITCH from the 'send Ko Kieft deep' offense"
It was even followed with an LOL.
"lighten up Francis"
"That was three Kieft targets in the opening quarter of the opening game of the 2023 season. Who had that on their Bucs bingo card?"
"Baker Mayfield's first two passes of the day went Kief's direction, and he dropped them both. The first was a short dump off pass but the second was a deep pass, the kind that Kieft isn't usually in the position to be on the recieiving end of."
outrageous LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first pass to Kieft was literally tipped at the line and was knocked down.
Kieft never had his hands on it.

And, ironically enough, they ran 2 more plays similar to this in the 2nd half where Baker went with his 1st read.
But, don’t let facts get in the way.

That's really never been a problem for that particular piece of shit. But it is humorous watching a clueless asshole with low football acumen act as if he isn't a clueless asshole with low football acumen.

ROFLMAO . .Now that ^^^ is IRONIC. No quotes needed.
DH you've become Buggsy. (and if you doubt that . . look who immediately appeared to reinforce your comment LOL)
Your original post on this topic and your subsequent posts on KIEFT are classic Buggsy strawmen.
Here's a PRISTINE example because the OBVIOUS point is that EVERYONE (even the guys in the booth) JOKED about the offense starting with three passes to Kieft ("who had that on their Bingo card") but . . JUST LIKE BUGGSY . . you argued against something that wasnt even the point:
The first pass to Kieft was literally tipped at the line and was knocked down.
Kieft never had his hands on it.
Even more Buggsy like, suggesting that I posted something false (as opposed to humor) and you did that by CLIPPING the quote? LMAO, talk about desperate. If that kind of stuffs breeds confidence thats a great thing, I guess, but hilarious because NOT only does Bowles agree with the actual point (the offense adjusted) . . SO DO YOU:

DONK . . right above this I point out that you are Buggys and here he is stroking your hair AND NOTE THE PERSONAL NATURE OF HIS COMMENTS lol

'LOW FOOTBALL ACUMEN?" Lmao. Really? "Football acumen" is a thing? A source of pride? is that why its ONLY referenced here on a message board or do they give people awards for it? You gusy have plaques on your walls . . from PFF maybe?
What a clown thing to say . .
UNLESS others' perception of your "football acumen" is REALLY IMPORTANT TO YOU.
If so . .. congrats?

You literally posted a quote from (apparently) an article that said Kieft dropped his 1st two passes.
I pointed out that it was false.
You proceed to go on another of your trademark rants and have now graduated to calling me @biggs3535
I see happy hour started earlier than usual.

way to own it, Buggsy
You guys are a hoot.
The Kieft missed TD was high, and slightly inaccurate pass. But as PR correctly pointed out, an NFL caliber skill player has to make that catch.
The issue is that Baker isn't tall so he tends to sail to avoid batted balls... but the pass was DEF catchable.
Kieft is a TE only in name... he's really a FB... and a FB has no business running that seam route (from memory that's what it was).
So there's 3 at fault here:
Baker throwing it high but catchable for 90% of NFL TEs
Kieft running a seam route - poor personnel from Canales
Keift isn't a good pass catcher - small catch radius, unathletic...
And I'm certain he was open because that's exactly the guy you leave open if you have to... if you put Keift in you're either telegraphing a run or getting cute with him running a route.
