lot of people singing his praises
The league will already love us for hiring Lovie Smith. If we all 3 minorities at HC,DC and GM they may rig a SB for us.
Marc Ross has emerged as a hot candidate on the NFL job market. Just consider the stats: The New York Giants college scouting director is under consideration for four of the seven vacant NFL general manager jobs in the league.Ross, 39, is scheduled to interview with the New York Jets on Monday and the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday. He has already interviewed with the San Diego Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars.Ross has worked under Giants general manager Jerry Reese since 2007 after serving as a scout for three years with the Buffalo Bills and becoming the league's youngest college scouting director with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2000.COACHING CAROUSEL : Where dominoes might fall"I think he has everything you're looking for in a general manager," former NFL scout and executive John Wooten told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday. "No. 1, he's a top talent evaluator. Jerry Reese gave him an outstanding opportunity, letting him run the draft."The support that Ross has from Wooten hasn't hurt. Wooten heads the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which monitors and promotes opportunities for minority coaches and executives in the NFL. Two years ago, Ross interviewed for the Seattle Seahawks general manager role that went to John Schneider.Said Wooten, "He's thoroughly ready to be a GM. He knows talent, knows the business side of the NFL and knows the salary cap."Wooten said that the seven NFL teams looking to fill head coaching vacancies during this hiring cycle have fully complied with the NFL's Rooney Rule, which requires interviewing at least one minority candidate. Before hiring former Eagles coach Andy Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs interviewed Atlanta Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong. Before landing Syracuse coach Doug Marrone, the Bills interviewed former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith and Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton.
LMAO
ok people...this guy has as much chance of being our GM as anybody. he's rumored to be part of plan Lovie and yet no one is discussing him. Im lazy. Don't make me do all the work.
THATS NOT A SEXY NAME
I'd much rather have him than Jerry Angelo
he should really go by Marcus. Marc sounds jewish.
Marc "The Boss" Ross
If we're gonna roll the dice on a young guy then why not Stokes? Our drafts have been better than the Giants the last 2 years.
The GM doesn't need to be a sexy name. He just needs to be good and this guy has the Credentials. I'd prefer a proven commodity but what the hell do I know. I'm just a Fan.
I'd much rather have him than Jerry Angelo
