Let's not even bring up Sanchez.

You mean the guy that Dominik was trying to trade up for?

Hillarious some people on here still think Dummynik is a good GM , lol.

He is.But some people are just too **CENSORED**ing stupid to see it.

No , he isn't . Staying way under the salary cap is not the goal ....winning is , last I checked.  Bottom line : he sucks

Dominik's time was up. OL is in shambles after 5 years of Dom's "we don't draft OLmen" strategy. DL generates no pass rush and has seen little return from 4 very high picks selected for this unit.FA failures galore. Not to mention the failure that was Josh Freeman.

How many D-LIneman was McKay allowed to miss on with Dungy in the early years?Nicks would make a big difference for the OL. Penn got exposed this year, but has been a semi-steal until now. Have we been in position to draft a LT?FA Failures? Which ones? Not sure on Nicks health, but if he can play best OG in football. Are we still talking about resigning Clayton, Black, and Joseph at a time when we were completely devoid of talent? Josh Freeman is a failure, but so is Sam Bradford, and Matthew Stafford. Let's not even bring up Sanchez.

I love the fact that Dummynik told us his philosophy was to "build through the draft"....that was until he changed his mind and decided his philosophy was to overpay for free agents , LOL.The sad truth is he had no philosophy , and he was not a football mind. It's why he could never put together a complete and cohesive team unit...the only thing he stayed consistent on was his idiotic belief that " you should never draft offensive linemen " . BrilliantThe guy is a joke .

I guess I'm too **censored** because all I see is trading a #2 and #4 for Winslow. #2 and #5 for Benn. Two #4s for Stocker. Derrick Ward, Quincy Black, Clayton, Ryan Sims contracts. Offering Haynesworth $100M with $30M guaranteed. #2 for Price, #2 for Bowers. Giving Nicks a $12M bonus after his surgery.

This should open some eyes.

I'm excited about the prospects of a new coach, especially Lovie Smith with Jeff Tedford as OC. I believe it will be hard for the Bucs to upgrade at GM though. Yes, Dominick made his share of mistakes, but he was a very young GM for us and he also showed the ability to learn from those mistakes. I don't know how much Schiano had to do with the last 2 drafts, but one player I believe I see Dominicks fingerprints on is Akeem Spence who looks like a steal in the 4th. I believe Dominick saw some similarities to Geno Smith (I'm sure he did a lot of reflection on the 2010 draft). Even beyond that, Dominick's greatest skill was predicting the draft. I think he deserves a lot of credit for snagging Doug Martin where he did, and getting Lavonte David, who is probably the crown jewel of his picks, late in the 2nd.

I agree. Dominik has managed the Salary cap well after taking over a mess from Bruce Allen. He's brought in quality talent via FA and the Draft. Yes, he's had misses. But the plus's far outweigh the misses. The Glazers obviously have some kind of plan and wanted a new GM and HC to go with that plan.

Dominick  DID NOT "take over a mess".  Allen had cleared the cap issues finally and Dom inherited a very enviable cap situation.  Please stop trying to keep the myth of his mad cap skillz going.

The only grievous error I see here is Price because of the opportunity cost. Winslow saved Freeman from looking like a turd the first 2 years (maybe that was an error). We didn't sign Haynesworth. We did sign those other guys to contracts that were more than they deserved but none of them were crippling contracts (no Charlie Garners), and who else did we have to sign? How was Dominick to know Nicks would get MRSA?

Yeah, Allen left cap room and a team completely devoid of talent.

Don't forget all the time he wasted trying to land Vilma, who was never leaving New Orleans, at the expense of going after guys he might of been able to land.

Dom has failed overall at getting proper DL talent on the field in the last 5 years...regardless of what McKay did, or didn't do.Nicks "would"...could, should, would...that speaks to potential...not actual production, which we have seen and probably will not see from Nicks given the uncertainty of his injury.FA failures: Eric Wright. Derrick Ward. Sean Jones. Re-signing Joseph, Trueblood, Black, Clayton, and Tanard Jackson. Yes, we are talking about re-signing poor-to-mediocre players and holding onto them, rather than looking to upgrade those positions. I'm not buying the crap of "well, what were we going to do?...create another hole by not re-signing these players?". Yes, we use that money to go out and get a player who can actually contribute at a solid level...which virtually none of those players did.The Bucs organization drafting Freeman was a failure. What other organizations did with their QBs is irrelevant.Dom's time was up. Enough excuses already.

Are you serious? You're saying Dom took over a good situation? Like Baalke, or Reese, or John Dorsey, or Kevin Colbert? Not even close.

Dominik took over an excellent situation.  The most money to spend, all of the draft picks and a team with back to back winning seasons.  Not many get opportunities like that.  Getting an exceptional GM here is job number one so I don't understand all the talk of coaches yet.

Oh right. I forgot. He had Jeff Garcia, Simeon Rice, and Derrick Brooks to build around.

No Dominick started out with crap as far as talent but the Bucs are still a bottom feeder after 5 years of his wizardry.  Now the new guy is going to have to make a tough decision at QB, rebuild the OL, fix the pass rush, bring in depth and has to deal with Dom's FA signings of Nicks and Goldson.

I notice two JC's All Stars in Joseph and Trueblood curiously missing from that list.  I'm sure that's just coincidence.

I respect that Dominik has been a true Buccaneer and with the organization for 19 years. But you can't win just four games in year five of the rebuilding project. It just can't be done.
