I really like his video. He is really smooth athlete and I am not going to deny his talent. It's just a numbers thing. The top echelon of NFL WR'S, over 90% of them are 6'2" or better. The other 10% have ether Peyton Manning or Nick Foles throwing them the ball [Welker and DeSean Jackson]. Maybe my reasoning is way off but the data tells me that you need bigger WR'S or else an elite QB.

Since when is Nick Foles an elite QB?Also DeSean Jackson was productive well before Foles even got there. Also Percy Harvin, Mike Wallace, Anquan Bolden, Michael Crabtree, Stevie Johnson, Antonio Brown, Roddy White all disagree

I wouldn't draft anyone of those guys you named at 7 overall. I'd draft aj green, Julio jones, or Calvin Johnson at 7 and Watkins is not in that company

Watkins isnt in That company because hes not 6-2+???

Guy is a playmaker. I'd welcome him with open arms, even at 7.

Not sure if you are being serious or not. Foles was the no.1 QB in passer rating last year. Also no.1 in ypa. You are either joking or you need to watch some games. 2013 Nick Foles203-317 2,891 yardscomp % 64%9.12 ypa27 TD 2 INT119.2 passer rating. On what planet is that not elite?  Especially considering that when Vick was starting it looked like Chip Kelly s offense was going to flop. Then with Foles they were unstoppable.

Fact is we had the 32nd offense and a talented but ineffective defense.  #1 problem is offense.I wouldn't be surprised if the entire draft was offense.

True. Especially if we go all out on d in free agency.

Yeah.  Jones measured at 6026 at the combine.  It's not like he's Calvin Johnson size.  This seems like kind of an arbitrary cutoff.

Well yes. Jones is flat out bigger and faster. That'll just about do it.

This is reminiscent of the time almost the whole board argued with me when I said justin Blackmon isn't in that company either and shouldn't be taken as a top 10 pick. Or when the entire board gave me crap because I said Trent Richardson isn't even the best RB in his draft class let a lone a top 10 pick.  Here we go again..

Except you shouldn't rank players as 1st rounder or 2nd rounder or top 10It should go HoF, All Pro, Pro Bowler, Starter, Rotational, Back up Special Teamer.

Vincent Jackson isn't going to be here forever and Mike Williams is going to have to rededicate himself to the game. Drafting Watkins makes sense from a depth standpoint.

I think Watkins has potential to be better than all the players on the first list. I think he's a taller, healthy, non-crazy Percy Harvin.

was foles a good qb before chip Kelly arrived?

Blackmon has been far more limited by his inability to stay on the field than he has by any physical shortcomings.

But would you have drafted Blackmon in the top 8 or get someone who compliments the team better and gets open consistently like Kendal Wright who you could have gotten way later and acquired picks. That was my argument that year and Wright just had 94 receptions. This year the options are even better. I wouldnt draft a receiver in the top 10 unless they project to be unstoppable. Green and Calvin Johnson are the only receivers in the last decade that looked like they could come in the NFL and be unstoppable. Otherwise pass on Watkins and draft Beckham, and youd get a receiver who's just as fast or faster, better in the return game or just as good, and has better moves in the open field. Watkins gives you a more physical run after the catch guy but you'd miss out on a premier defensive player or Olineman. Wait till the second round and you can get both.

Wasn't Russell Wilson to small to be successful at QB in the NFL.
