Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London would be the #1 RB, TE, and WR on our team. Tyler Allgeier was their #2 back and he had 514 rushing yards. Our leading rushers were Bucky at 588 yards and White at 572 yards.
I would argue we had a deeper WR room than them.
but their offense was not deprived of talent. As i said in the quote that you didnt snip it......the QB was the big question mark. I just haven't learned when it's the QB fault they suck or the OC fault. It seems to vary depending on the situation. When Kirk Cousins does well against Bucs, it's Bowles fault....or Robinson credit.....oh that's a good one!

I think the Falcons had one of the worst collection of WRs in the NFL the last few seasons but it was very obvious last season. The Patriots were liked that too with their WR corps which drove Brady to the Bucs. But the last two off seasons and if you include this one, with the AJ Brown trade, that makes it three where the Patriots aggressively upgraded their WR core.
But the Falcons OL, TE room and RB room is top caliber so the QB play may have been a factor but there were some super low scoring games that should have never happened when you have Bijan in your corner as an ace up your sleeve as an OC.

yeah, the one clear advantage the Bucs have over Atlanta the last couple years was at the QB position. Kirk Cousins only looked good against Tampa and Penix was a known bust when they drafted him. But talking supporting cast wise, Atlanta pretty darn close

Yes Pitts is a much better receiver threat in the "move" role, but Otton is an inline blocker. I thought Otton sucked as an in line blocker initially, but he really improved so he does that AND catches the ball. 2025 a down year for Otton and the Bucs but if you look at 2024:
Otton - 59 receptions for 600 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns (over 14 games)
Pitts - 47 receptions for 602 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns (over 17 games)
Otton receving stats are earned with him also being a KEY cog in the very successful run game
Totally get that receiving production is the focus, just saying its a little like comparing an RB to a FB. No team is taking Pitts over Otton if the PRIMARY need is an inline blocking, Off the line receiving threat is Pitts, no question.

Many years now of watching Pitts play, so WITH THAT KNOWLEDGE of his ACTUAL NFL performance, go back in time . . . do you as the GM of the Bucs draft him at #4 overall?

One aspect that has not been discussed is if the Bucs have the cash on hand to sign Mayfield to an extension. I have no idea how much money the Bucs have in reserve. But.
Hypothetically if the Bucs made cap space by restructuring the contracts of Wirfs and McCollum by a combined 30 million signing bonuses of 3 years, that would free up 20 million in cap space. Only 20 million because 10 million would go towards the 2026 salary cap. But that would be enough to sign Mayfield to an extension.
Hypothetically let's say the Mayfield extension called for a 50 million signing bonus prorated over 6 years. That is workable.
But the Bucs would have to pay out a total of 80 million immediately. If the Bucs don't have the extra 80 million in their operating budget, Jason would have to go to the Glazers and request that they provide an infusion of cash to pay the signing bonuses. If the Glaziers don't have that liquidity, they will have to borrow from the bank which raises the cost.
