god watching his SB presser got me a little sad the kid is a stand up guy , well spoken and very smart. i guess i was one of the few fans who didn't appreciate him as much as he should of been. when he left it really didn't bother me but now its really getting to me. i hope he comes back next year and i would appreciate and root for him the way i should of years ago…. :'(
We need a pass rusher, he'll be a free agent. Hopefully he comes back.
He'll be back if we offer him $10m a year.
He won't come back to Tampa, I just don't see that happening. There is no doubt he feels slighted by us but even though all the people who slighted him are gone, he won't be back.
I want a 10 + sack guy anyway.

Schiano and Dom are gone. There is nobody here for him to hate. Any 4-3 DE would love to play for Lovie. Plus he said he and his wife are best friends with McCoy and his wife. I think it's much more likely than you think.

The bad guy (Schiano) is gone. His friends and teammates are here.

ThisAnd reportedly he's been keeping up to date with the position coach (DL) change
Roughly half the teams in the NFL run 3-4 defenses where Bennett would not be a natural fit. Then you have at least a few 4-3 teams with $20 million QBs who can more than likely not afford Bennett and you have at least a few teams like St. Louis that already have at least one DE better than Bennett. There's only going to be realistically 3, 4, or 5 teams with the need and resources to sign Bennett. If the Bucs can put together a competitive package, he'll come.
He probably could of been had for $6M-$7M/year if we'd given him a long term deal last year. If we want him back, he'll probably cost quite a bit more than that now. He was Seattle's most productive defensive lineman this season and has been huge in the post season. Personally, I think the Seahawks are going to cut ties with Chris Clemons and give Bennett a long term deal. Clemons' production fell off this year, he is 33, and he counts as $9M against their cap in 2014. If they cut him they get $7M of that back....and think they will use that on Bennett.
Bennett would be great upgrade at LDE and he plugs the middle on passing downs but I don't really think that we need Bennett nearly as much as we need a speed rusher on the right side who can bend the corner and collapse the pocket. Personally I would keep Gholston on the left side and go after a speed rusher to rotate with Clay on the right side. There are plenty of tweeners in the draft but without a 3rd round pick we could miss the good ones.
He did say he wanted to play with his bro....maybe this is the year that happens?
After seeing how it played out last year, why should teams be eager to throw big money long term deals at this year's crop of FA DE's. There were good ones available last year and Avrils' 2 year 6.5 gtd deal was the most lucrative no? This year's crop could include Hardy and Johnson, two proven RDE's. Bennett's value may even decrease due to teams viewing him as more of a hybrid DL.

where gonna give Bowers another shot so said coach CULLEN… i hope we sign a DE in FA just so we don't draft Mack.. if we do get our DE in FA that would put us in the driver seat for WATKINS ;D
I think it's completely possible he comes back to tampa.Players like lovie, he knows Frasier, the system fits him, the people who tossed him are gone, and as it was already stated, is close friends with mccoy. We could do better by signing allen, but Bennett should last longer. I'd rather have allen in tampa, but bennett would be a good consolation prize nonetheless.
