I'm not going to sit here and play "holier than thou"...That said I'm open to giving Vick a shot, but not for starters money and that contract better have a 16 game clause and a walk away clause.

If the humane society has forgiven Vick and allowed him to team up with them , why can't you ? He did is time and hasn't been on trouble since. I say get over it.
NFL rigs it. Vick comes to Tampa and destroys the Falcons in the NFC championship game. Arthur Blank fires Mike Smith during the game. Bucs go on to play the Browns in the SB where the Browns end Vicks career.

Do we still win? Thats really all that matters......On topic, Ive always been a fan of Vicks (yes even when he was a Falcon, but not twice a year). I was just as disgusted as everybody when the dogfighting thing came out, especially as a dog owner who has his dogs name tattooed across his entire inside forearm, but hes served his time and been good ever since then. It seems as if hes changed. Back in his prime, he was sporadic as a passer, but electrifying on the field. Hes gotten better passing since coming back into the league, imo, HOWEVER, he cant stay healthy to save his life, and even with his improved passing skills hes still a below average passer. Would I be against us bringing him in on a vet minimum deal to raise the competition at QB? Absolutely not. Would I guarantee him to be the starter? Hell no, but even if we did, hed be out by week 6. I was all for bringing him in back when he got out of jail (again, Ive always been a fan of his) as I felt like he could be productive. He proved that and got himself a new deal. Hes declined since then I feel, but I wouldnt be opposed to bringing him in......Just dont guarantee him a starting spot as hes not the same player he was back in the day and wont win you games by putting the team on his back when needed. He will win you some games though.
I would never give the organization one cent as long as Vick was part of the team and would actively campaign against them.

I completely agree on the first part. As for him being here, i want no parts of it....but strictly because what takes place between the white lines. I simply don't think he's that good. I'd like us to set our sights higher.

Yet guys like him or Stallworth don't receive anywhere near the amount of HATE that Vick does. The level of importance people place on a dog is amazing to me.
I am a pretty big animal lover, but the guy has already served his time. I believe it was a 2 year ban? And those 2 years were in the prime of his career. That, and he lost a ton of money. He lost more money in those 2 years, than most of us will make in our entire lifetime. But I still wouldn't sign him, it has nothing to do with his past, its I don't think he has much left in the tank. If they want a young version of Vick, just draft JFF.
I've posted my thoughts on Vick, the scumbag, in a different thread so I'll limit this to football talk.Glennon is already better than Vick. He protects the ball and is a more accurate passer. I don't believe any team will promise Vick a starting role, but if the Bucs do, they will be worse off. I don't think he can beat out Glennon in an open competition.
I agree. Glennon will continue to grow and Vick is on his way out.
