QB: Talented group (Winston, Glennon) but inconsistent in different ways. Winston needs to plant his feet on drop back passes, and Glennon needs to go through his reads faster. Griffen is the most inconsistent of the three, but supposedly the staff is still high on him to be keeping him as a #3 QB despite having many injuries at other spots. Note that a common theme I will be touching upon with Koetter is that he values players that know his system way more than just raw talent.
RB: Lots of injuries here, but the team is high on Barber and Hansbrough. I expect these two youngsters to stick around to learn the playbook heading well into next year. Martin/James are good players when healthy, but that is a big IF. Rodgers injury along with Smith has hurt the pass pro of this unit.
TE: It is looking like Brate/Cross are learning on the fly and have or will completely becomes the dominant players at their position grouping in the near future. Stocker is too inconsistent due to injury issues and Meyers is showing his age.
WR: Decent group, but only having Evans as an impact player is hurting this unit. Shorts has to show up because Martino/Humphries are slot guys. Just have to hope that Shorts shows up and Martino can hold down the fort while Shepard heals.
OL: Bucs have a good collection of OL talent, but I think a lot of them are playing out of position. Dept hwise the Bucs haven't had this much depth at OL in sages. Sweazy is dead weight as far as I am concerned.
DE: Decimated due to injuries like the RB position the Bucs have two young guys in Ward and Lambert learning on the fly.
DT: Spence like McDougald has been up/down performance wise. Hughes has been the only consistent guy and he is a #4. That is scary.
LB: Depth is really bad, and the starters are struggling.
CB: I like this collection of CB's. But I do not agree with the notion that Robinson and Verner can't play against opposing starting offenses.
S: McDougald has been disappointing. Tandy/Smith need to see more playing time.
P: Anger is the best free agent pick up this year for the Bucs easily.
K: Aguayo has to turn into a weapon soon or Licht is under pressure next off season.
KR/PR: Humprhies is fine as a PR, but KR the Bucs have essentially given up on.
Practice Squad: Team is high on OC Josh Allen,, WR Dontea Dye, OC Ben Gotthchalk, TE Tevin, Westbrook and CB Javien Elliot. WR Huff was a recent addition.
Overall, the Bucs roster is thin depth wise at LB, RB, WR, TE, DT and DE. Basically the Bucs front seven needs massive rework with starters and depth. Offensively, Bucs need to add another starting quality OL, but then turn their focus on finding another TE, H-back, WR2, RB, and return specialist.
