The fact that people question Mike William's commitment to football is puzzling given he should have been IR'd weeks earlier instead of playing...he looked like a wounded bird out there.
I'm sorry but the guy is the 17th best paid WR out there based on his average cap hit from this contract, the guy hasn't even had a 1000 yard season and he's better paid than half the #1 in the league.He offers nothing that our #1 doesn't, overpaid.23 wideouts had 1000 last year alone and he's not done it once, overpaid.A 24th player didn't have 1000 yards last season but still managed to top Mike career best, not his average but his best, overpaid.Lets not forget that the team set franchise records for production just 2 seasons ago and he failed to top 1000 while that was happening.The guy was a great pick in the 4th round and is a solid to very good #2 but lets not kid ourselves that he's being paid what he's worth.

He was 36 yards short of 1000 yards his rookie year and 4 yards short of 1000 in 2012. That is a very poor argument. That's like saying Drew Brees only threw for 4999 yards so he sucks. If anyone is saying he is overpriced it is because he just got a huge deal and then got injured. He is one of the best no.2 WR'S.
Yeah the 1000-yard argument is weak. Is he suddenly transformed by four more yards? My concern is two off years in four. When healthy above average. But only healthy in 2 of 4 seasons.
Hamstring injuries are a sign of not being in shape.

Mike Williams isn't very good. Yes he ALMOST got to a 1000 yards. No getting 4 more yards wouldn't make him better but it does show that he's not a guy who is really all that special. He's clearly not the 17th best WR in the league to go back to the theme of this thread.The problem is what is it he does well? He's a bad route runner, a guy with suspect hands, he doesn't give you much RAC. He is a guy with good body control and field awareness to make some catches on questionable throws. His value with Freeman was a lot higher than it will be with a decent QB because what he did jumping and contorting for balls was a big help to Josh but QB's who can actually hit a target want a guy to be in a spot when they need them in a spot.He is a guy who really should be a third WR not even a second and in that role he gets even more overpaid.

He seems pretty slow too....he never gets any separation from the DB. He doesn't really offer us anything that VJAX can't do better. We'd have been better served trading him while he had a cheap contract and his off the field issues weren't public and then putting a quick speedy YAC guy opposite Vjax. We desperately need someone on this offense who can get YAC.

No, he doesn't get open. He and VJax are, again, guys who are "perfect" in an "All About 5" scenario where you can throw to them covered or not. Makes reading and throwing a lot easier...but they both feed into the inconsistency of an offense. Its really funny to read the double talk here. Over half you guys clamor for wanting to draft a QB high this year and then want to hold it against our WR's for their production. Seriously? I'm not even sure how that makes sense. If you want to question MW19's dedication to football, fine...I am currently doing that as well. But to say he sucks or is overpaid b/c he didnt reach some stat level when we have had crap QB play is just downright stupid.
