Tampa Bay, where mediocre players go to be paid like stars and have their very average at best performances hyped as greatness by fans.
The highest paid WR in the NFL averages over $18 million per season. Williams averages barely more than 1/3 of that.

No Glennon talk please!
No worries there because doesn't really fit, he's not been paid huge money yet, plus he's not even mediocre IMO.

Really, so feeling that a player is over rated by many and over paid by a proven numbskull means you hate them.I like mike a lot as what he really is a solid, not great, #2.I'd like him even more if his contract was more in line with his performance.
That's what veteran #2 WRs get paid. Accept it.
I never wanted to resign him because even though he's good, he's not what the Bucs need, esecially in combination with Vjax. When we committed to buying Vjax, which was fine, the guy opposite to him needed to be a different style. An Antonio Brown or Welker style receiver.

Jackson is five years older than Williams. There's no reason to throw away a promising young player because we're renting Jackson for the last few years of his career. The Bucs haven't been against the cap for close to ten years.
I guess they just need to fire a coaching staff every year instead of every other year to get the most out of MW... /shrugs

Hamstring injuries are a sign of not being in shape.
That's just not true. You can look at Mike and see he's in shape. People with hamstring injuries are usually a result of some imbalance between the hip flexors and extensors.
It absolutely is true. And no, you can't just look at a player and tell he's in shape, condition wise.
It is a potential sign...along with many other things. Does it mean he was not in playing shape...NO. However...considering he went through training camp and was fine for week 1 I have a hard time buying the "out of shape" theory.
Let me guess, him being on pace for 576 yards, 5 TDs and 9.8 yards per catch was the quarterbacks' fault right? No plays over 30 yards.

Vincent Jackson had the second lowest YPR of his 9 year career. The entire offense was in the toilet.

Not too far off of what Wes Welker did and we didn't have to pay $6m a year either!

But his second most yardage.

More catches. Fewer yards. That's not a good thing.

Offense was bad, I get it. But Jackson was still getting his, even if it was at a lower yards per catch. The QB excuse won't fly when Jackson had 509 yards in the same 6 games Williams played.
