With Atlanta and New Orleans coming up the Bucs have a golden opportunity to add separation in the division. Does anyone really believe they will actually do that? Based on typical Bucs teams the opportunity will be squandered. Over the past several years the Bucs teams have had opportunities just like this and have failed. I don't see this being any different. The Falcons and Saints are legit and they both have the Bucs at home. Add in the injuries and there is no way they pull it off.
The Bucs really need these wins because if they lose the season is pretty much over with the pending tough schedule. Baltimore, Chiefs, 49ers, etc. This is the season the next 2 weeks.
Not sure about that because using last year as an example they had horrible losses against the Texans and the Colts and they only split with the Falcons and Saints and still went two deep into the playoffs, against a team they've already beaten this year.
You may be right but theres definitely another way to look at it
As Oddball in Kelly's Heroes would say "Always with the negative waves TB Fan for life, always with the negative waves."
Do you expect the Bucs to sweep the division games 6-0? The Bucs aren't going to sweep the division. You are saying the Bucs have to win both away games against their division rivals? That would be great, but it's probably not going to happen. Since 2000 only the Saints in 2020 swept the division. The Bucs were 4-2 in the division during their Superbowl year. So to say they must win the road games against the division rivals is just not realistic or accurate.
Here's how I look at it. Lose both and playoff chances are at about 45%. Win one and the chances are about 60%. Win both and the chances are 90+%

4-2 or 3-3 in the division is the most realistic imho. 5-1 is possible but so is 2-4. with our easy second half schedule anything less then 3-3 would be a disappointment. That’d put us easily at 9-11 wins.
i think we likely go 2-2 in the next 4 - losing tomorrow night and to the Ravens; beating the Saints next week and redemption against Falcons at home
i am with you, a win tomorrow and we separate ourselves as the class of the NFC South; but a short week and the Falcons needing the win more at home; yeah i can see us losing unfortunately.
hope i am wrong
and i disagree with you that losing the next 2 weeks means the season is lost.
you do realize this is the same exact team that lost 6 of 7 games and was standing at 4-7 only to make the playoffs and actually win a playoff game.
While i am with you, we have some tough games stretch. let's say the Bucs go 1-5 in the next 6. Not ideal but with Ravens, Chiefs, 49ers and two road divisional games. it's possible.
So we are then 4-6 with the Giants, Panthers (x2), Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, and home Saints game.
don't see why we couldn't go on another run finishing with 10 wins or 6-1 finish.
Being 3-1, beating the Lions and Eagles, should only give us confidence.
Tomorrow is a big game, but hardly the end of the world if we lose.
a win tomorrow and we separate ourselves as the class of the NFC South
I think (?0 we would be 4-1, Falcons 2-3 still having to face us at RJS, and the Saints play the Chief's?
A win and we would be on our way BUT man short week, injuries, away game . . . tough row to hoe!
Hopefully, we figured out what happened against Denver - I’m not sure we did. Sean Payton defeated our depleted defense - but Vance Joseph did a number on our offense.
If anyone else can do that to us it would be Raheem Morris, especially considering his intimate knowledge of McVay’s system, Liam Coen, Baker Mayfield - and Atlanta’s talent on defense.
Hopefully having Goedeke back will assist with that and the rest of the o-line being at the top of their game.
Atlanta’s offense didn’t score a TD against NO but ATL still beat them. Not sure if Bijan Robinson will be ready to go - so they don’t look that scary offensively.
As the OP states, a few things to clear up in order to turn those missed opportunities into a more complete win against a slightly better Falcon team than the Philly game.
Should be a great test, and game, so I’m looking for a close contest and a win.
I think Goedeke might be out again.
We could be watching his career get cut short

Yup he has been ruled out for tomorrow. Something is definitely up with that concussion.

let's hope it's just the short week but something would def be up if he doesnt play the saints next week.
I thought i saw a report that he was in uniform and stretching with the team last week. If so, that sounds like he is in the 4th or final stage to clearance. Either way he couldn't pass the final evaluation, I guess.
Everyone is different so all just guesswork. He seems like the type of player who would be back as soon as he could.
Just hoping for a split. I like how poised our team looked on the road in Detroit, we will be getting similar type environment setting tonight and next Sunday. Hopefully they stay focused
