Nothing wrong with power rushers imo, James Harrison, Strahan, cam jordan, justin tuck all double digit power rushers. He also had a 4.51 forty with a 37 vert so a lot more twitch than these guys
I'll do my best to highlight yaya next game im sure he'll get some pass rush wins.
Yes I agree nothing wrong with power rushers ESPECIALLY when they have counterpart on the other side. I think when people are dicussing what is misisng though they think of a singular double digit sack guy like the many FA's discussed here.
Jeremy Fowler:
"Despite losing three straight games, the Bucs are in an all-too-familiar position — poised to make a December playoff push against a weaker schedule. The Bucs have been one of the league’s most depleted teams, and their losing streak came against teams with a combined 25-8 record. There’s no shame in losing to the Patriots, Bills and Rams. What’s truly concerning is their lack of pass rush.
Tampa is not generating enough edge pressure, and though defensive tackle Vita Vea faces frequent double-teams, the defense doesn’t have a healthy complement to take advantage. Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey was probably the team’s best pass rusher entering 2025, but he has been out for most of the season. Despite all of that, I’m still bullish on the Buccaneers. They have a top-10 roster when healthy, and they’re getting closer to that every week. And Todd Bowles’ late-season track record is strong as the Bucs have finished the past two seasons with 5-1 and 6-1 records, respectively."
Mayfield supposed to play?

Diaby is doing better this year I feel with more competent edge rushers playing opposite of him. Losing Kancey sucks but it also allows other players to step up. And right now I think Diaby has a chance to beat his rookie sack numbers. Not sure if he will reach double digit sacks but it would be a pleasant surprise if he did.

Yea the roster is lacking a true double digit guy, but Imo yaya has the potential he just needs more help on the other end, since qbs nowadays are too athletic and have the ability stepup/ breakthe pocket whnever they want if the other end isnt holding contain. Yaya has the best chance to get double digits and who I see the most who has hit a qb this season or cleanly beat his guy. He needs to just tell the other end what to do so the qb doesnt break the pocket and he can get his shot. The potentially great players are always elite communicators to what they see, and what I'm seeing is yaya beating his guy but the other end is doing a bad job on contain/rushing.
So Imo yaya has the leeway to tell the other guy what to do and to hold contain for him on pass rush downs
He didn't have a great game this game 1.5 sacks but I definitely think he had better games with 0 sacks
@mic - yaya isn’t a bad player at all. He would just be a great Edge 2. Top 10 edge players get constant pressure. Or offenses are sliding protection to help account for them. Yaya just isn’t that guy. But I’d love to see a real game-changer running QBs into Yaya.

Yeah, YaYa is a good Robin. He just isn't Batman.

that's why I was saying that even Reddick seems to have a positive impact so imagine and actual destructive force opposite Diaby.
"Edge rusher Haason Reddick? Bowles seemed encouraged by his return Sunday. “I thought he did a good job getting back there, he’s just got to finish the deal.”
