I think with Hargreaves ascending more than any other player, and him being a first rounder... the team & fans want to see him on the field.
The original plan seemed to be that Verner would be the outside CB and VH3 the nickle until he settled in... well it looks like he is prepared to make plays at a higher rate than Verner already. So I think the plan will just be altered a bit, because Verner is a solid player & has had a very good camp. We need Verner he can still very much help this defense.
I think what we might see is VH3 and Grimes start, and in nickle situations you have Verner come in and take over the outside and have VH3 in the slot. This works out for everyone in my opinion... except for Jude but he is next man up if something happens (knocks on wood).
So not much different than the original plan, just a little less of a role for Verner, but still a very important piece to have on Sundays.
