This is on Licht. He's poured resources into the pass rush and it's a failure.

to you everything is on Licht

except bringing in Arians and Brady and a Super Bowl.

Why did Licht have a losing record with 3 different head coaches, including Arians, over 6 years before Brady?

Your irrational hate" is showing.

Its showing because your way of acknowledging the ultimate success of a Super Bowl with LICHT'S coach, his QB and largely his roster is to go back even further, and without context.

This is why I say you're basically a troll, JC.  Any unsupported position you post just leads to YOU POSTING a nearly infinite number of fallbacks (like the 02 defense success was really the offense LOL)

Licht is not great, but he's also a way better GM than you LMAO.  His first coach is Lovie. who is HIRED BEFORE HIM and a complete disaster.  The next coach is with Jameis Winston as a QB.  Because you have no credible way to argue against that pick, you just morph to "Winston was damaged by the Bucs handling."  SEE PRIOR COMMENT ABOUT TROLLING AND UNSUPPORTED POSITIONS LEADING TO AN INFINITE NUMBER OF FALLBACKS.

(its not exactly the towering heights of creativity or intellect to exist on a football message board by always taking the negative position. I mean, that's basically Morgan.  Congratulations)

Winston’s issues at FSU were the same as they were in the NFL: turnovers, sexual misconduct and just a turd in general. He wasn’t stuck picking him, he had a good deal from the Eagles on the table.

Brady saved us for 2-3 years. But now it’s back to reality. We have a really bad GM who’s putting a really bad team together.

And, there's a reason you haven't posted a link to any substantial evidence supporting this.

You once claimed (numerous times) that you were a GM.

So, what's your record? Would love to compare it to Licht's.

The idea that Licht would pass on Winston (a Florida State hero, the "most NFL ready QB" and the Bucs in desperate need of a QB) is the stuff of irrational trolling.

Its desperately straying into fantasy land to support an absurd emotional position and/or a football ego (the latter being particularly funny)

Now that I think about it, you’re right. It’s not Licht’s fault that a guy who had turnover and sexual misconduct issues in college had those same issues in the NFL. Just chalk it up to bad luck I guess. At 21 with only 2 years as a starter he was obviously NFL ready. Opening up games with pick 6’s was just more bad luck.

And the 2016 Bucs draft being the worst I’m old enough to remember was obviously Lovie’s fault.

After careful consideration I realize that Licht is actually a good GM and this year he will prove that it wasn’t all because of Tom Brady. I’m expecting atleast 10 wins. If for some strangeeeee reason they go 3-14 it will because he’s still cleaning up Lovie’s mess.

Hey if Hainsey doesn't start this year, is the 2021 draft actually worse than 2016? That damn Lovie!!!

I don't blame him for taking Winston per se... but all the issues that skeptics like me saw before the draft became true... like... literally every last one.

The problem for me is I wanted Mariota so I have no room to talk

2020 and 2021 were likely the most talented rosters we’d have in our history overall offense and defense

In 2022, you saw the losses of AB, Gronk, Marpet, Suh, and JPP. Injuries to Jensen and Shaq

2022 was still a talented roster and one worthy of a winning record; factor in loss of head coach and you get the result we got

one thing is for sure, nobody saw 2022 coming in June 2022! While we all might not have liked the vibe with a lot of shit going on, I think we thought Super Bowl was in reach.

week 5 was when I was concerned with that falcons win. Knew something wasn’t right

then when we lost back to back to Carolina and Pittsburgh, yikes

Offense, yes.

Defense, not even close.

Fair point.

I recall that there was a "first four games" thread and lots of optimism, understandably.   I thought the board expressed a little worry about the Bucs even after the first win because the game was so bad. And then in NO it took a 4th quarter comeback, but its NO and the 4th quarter comeback was good, maybe Brady rusty because of offseason drama etc.

either way I agree that the game you mention was probably one "oh no" moment and the fear sealed by what followed.

In complete hindsight the team talent was down in critical places, especially on the offense because, in particular, the underneath and "moving the chains" components were missing (as compared to the SB). No Gronk, no run game (Marpet, Jensen etc) and no Godwin, so pretty easy for defenses to just sit back and that exposed Leftwich as a sort of deer in headlights and the apparent infighting with the coaches

still, never say no to the Brady comeback and just trying to piece it all together one more time!

Let's compare our 2021 starters to 2023 starters and see which team had the edge

QB - 2021 (MVP caliber Brady)

RB - 2021 (Playoff Lenny versus unknown White)

WR - 2021 (included AB as third versus Gage; also Godwin was not recovering from injury; Evans closing in on 30)

TE - 2021 (Gronk)

OT - 2021 (have our all pro moving sides, Smith was more solid than unknown questionable Luke)

OG - 2021 (no more Marpet, Cappa was solid)

C - 2021 (Jensen recovering from injury, in his 30s)

DL - 2021 (Suh, Vea, Gholston versus Hall, Clancy, Vea, Gaines - i think this is one with potential but need to see Clancy and Hall in action to seeif they can overtake the steady vets)

EDGE- 2021 (healthy JPP and Shaqs versus recovering Shaq, blah JTR)

LB - 2021 (White coming off playoff run, David a few years younger)

CB - 2021 (same two starters, our nickel isn't as good)

S - 2021 (losing Edwards and Whitehead )

I mean, tell me where i am wrong there from a current status, factoring in age, prime, injuries, and depth at each position
