They played a lot better, although they did screw up some coverages downfield.  True, they should have forced some turnovers, or had a critical sack to seal the game against an underwhelming Vikes offense.  But overall I have to extend a mulligan to them.  They played 4 quarters of football which is probably the best game they have played all year no doubt.I think the reason why they played so much better has to do that they fixed the gap problems as well as the coverage understanding during the bye week.It also helps that Foster is taking the proper drops down the pipe.  True, he didn't register a lot of tackles, like LD but the scheme is designed this way.  Foster prevented a lot of throws down the seam.  It is true the Vikes were short at the TE spot, but still good to see that the light might be coming on for Foster and LD.Lansanah has a ways to go however as he is still a weak link but a SAM back is a two down guy so it is not the end of the world if he is the weakest in the LB group.  Just needs to wrap up better.Ghoslston was very active with hands causing the runners to be re-directed inside or batting away passes.  Michael Johnson was active in pressures and also shutting down runs from the weakside which is a welcome change but Kalil won most of the battles unfortunately.  McCoy has his moments but I think he failed to capitalize against an inexperienced player.  Jacquies Smith made his presence felt very quickly and expect to see him a lot more in a rotation moving forward. Goldshon still is a liability but at least he is playing better than Barron.  Barron right now is struggling but his gap integrity at the line looked at lot better.  Meaning he was at the right spot for a change, but now has to learn to shed blockers to make a play.Frey seems to be the go to Dime guy but he needs some more improvement.
