I like the move and feel like this sets us up to be a ground and pound, nasty, road grading O Line, which makes sense having a sophomore QB and 2 very good RBs. Also, it may be a sign that the coaches are confident in Ali’s potential versatility along the line. If I remember correctly many teams were projecting Ali as a center last year.He got several reps at the position in practice last season. If he could take over in the middle, then Sweezy stays at RG and Pamphile takes LG.Donovan Smith---Kevin Pamphile ---Ali Marpet---JR Sweezy---Demar DotsonIf either OT goes down, Pamphile fills in at that spot with Ali sliding back into G and Joe Hawley covering the middle .If either guard goes down then again Ali slides over and Hawley checks in.It's that kind of versatility that makes an O Line great. Just add another OT/G type of rookie in preferably the 4th or 5th round to fill out the depth and our line is ready to roll.Missing on Mitchell Schwartz blows but Dotson and Cherilus can get us through 2016. That said, don't be shocked to see us take Ronnie Stanley if he is available in round 1 or guys like Vadal Alexander and Taylor Decker in round 2.While defense has to be seriously addressed it's nice to know that protecting Winston and the running game is still clearly a top priority .
