Yo, PFT had a article that says Dominick is a candidate to be fired. Finally, someone in the media acknowledging this. But then the article said Schiano may get to pick his own GM. That be crazy talk right there man. What the hell has Schiano done to earn the right and trust to choose his own GM? That would be a big mistake. Hire a new GM and let him pick our new HC. Otherwise, we will be the 2015 version of the 2014 New York Jets. And if we don't draft a QB everyone, including the Glazers, should be fired.

Polian inherited Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith and Andre Reed in Buffalo and Marvin Harrison and the #1 pick in the Manning draft in Indianapolis. He's not a good football guy as much as he found himself in situations where there were already hall of fame players in place. There are rumors that Harbaugh and Trent Baalke are not getting along and that Harbaugh wants more authority in his new contract. If Baalke shakes loose, that's the guy.

Right after Bucs game, tv coverage went to Car / NOGame. Neat juxtaposition of Bucs losing to immediately going to our divisional foes playing meaningful game for title with young qb making a nice play /drive to win game. Then, we got to watch the coach we nearly hired in Chip Kelly play in an important game in December w playoff implications, slaying the competition. If the Glazers care at all about their product yesterday was a great showing of our decisions

If this is true and schiano gets to pick his own gm I'm done with this team and the nfl in general. I'm not going to watch or root for any other team but the bucs. But that would be beyond stupid. What coach foes 4-12 then gets to handpick the gm?
I like how all the fans say pay someone with experience, when the fans don't spend their $$ how can they tell the owners what to do with theirs?

That's one way to look at Polian's history. The other is to see that he was the director of player personnel at Buffalo and is credited with the signing of Bruce Smith. And when he took over as GM, the Bills were coming off back-to-back 2-14 seasons, and he then helped turn them around by immediately hiring Marv Levy as their coach in the middle of the 86 season. He then goes on to be the expansion team Carolina Panthers GM and in 2 years builds a team that made it to the NFC Championship game. Then goes on to Indy and yes does draft Manning. But what if he drafted Ryan Leaf instead? Now it seems laughable, but back then everyone was saying either pick was a winner. It's amazing the garbage this team has right now in coaching and upper management, fans still think someone of Polian's pedigree in the GM position isn't good enough.
