For those unfamiliar with the name..
Kris Richard was a major part of the legion of boom in Seattle. A former CB in the league, he molded guys like Richard Sherman as a DB coach before moving into the DC role for the Hawks.
This season, Richard joined Dallas as their DB coach, and more importantly the defensive playcaller. The Cowboys defense went from being a liability last season, to one of the better units in the league. They haven't allowed 30 points once this season, they're top 5 in points allowed. And players like Byron Jones have elevated their game quite visibly thanks to the presence of Kris Richard.
I think it's important to get a strong defensive minded coach in Tampa, and KR is at the top the list for me.
