I'm just gonna start off by saying I've been a reader of the red board for a few years, since the radio raheem/fat Freeman days. For whatever reason I've just decided to post today lol I loved watching the Panthers get shut down last night and if it tought us anything it's that we NEED a pash rush. I know it's been talked about over and over and there's gonna be 2 months of all the draft gurus on the board posting new mocks everyday, I'm not trying to start a new draft thread haha even though I like Noah Spence at 9 ;) I'm a fan of the ideology of bringing the 4-3 under and a hybrid defense to tampa... we need a D that's up to the modern Era of THE NFL. I don't personally think we're too many pieces away from having a solid 4-3 under. A good edge rusher, a 2 gap spacer eater at DT(possibly Akeman Spence, there's several good ones in the draft also) and a rangy safty (I know they'really hard to find). One more piece I want to add is that I hope MIke Smith is able to devolve some elaborate blitz packages... idk if anyone else noticed but Denver sent both safeties after Cam several times last night and we all saw the result. When you have the pieces along the front you can get really creative on the backend with who you send/drop cause you know the QB won't have much time. Oh and I was happy to see Lovie go!
