And all you have to do to nullify a DE is have a quick passing game. Why the fuck didn't anyone tell us this before? All those years against Peppers and Abraham. Do you know how many more games we could have won if they had known to pass the ball quicker?
If we draft Early over Jake Matthews, I will throw my remote through the TV. I am not a huge fan of Early and Matthews is a franchise LT. I'd rather get Matthews and trade or cut Penn. Either way we'd at least free up a ton of cap room that we could use to sign an OG or C to improve the OL. If we aren't drafting a QB early, then we need to build the OL and add weapons for Glennon. I think we can sign a free agent DE and not worry about D with our first pick.

If that's their thinking then they are done for a long time. Before the 2012 season, I predicted them collapsing that year. Turned out I was a year early. Both of their lines are trash. They are talent deficient on Defense in general and while their receivers may be better than ours, Matt is going to have a hard time adjusting to the lack of Gonzalez. I think they are going into 2014 as the 4th best team in the division. They need to rebuild NOW, not later. If they try and squeeze another run out they will fail, fire their coach at the end of 2014, and start over lacking both picks and talent.
I think they are spot on that the Bucs take a DE with their first pick. If they don't get Manziel, they are screwed, but I don't think they get Manziel and the franchise will continue to suck.
If the Falcons get Clowney then I think we need to counter with Matthews, if he is still on the board.
