What does the Home Jerseys look like? Or are those the Home?
lol, nice strawman. No, but GENERALLY people dislike change. It's human nature and, as shocking as it sounds . . .. hard core fans and "purists" like change the least
Yeah but this isn't about change. This is just ugly. I think if the Panthers had this same uni in their colors many of the people saying they like it here would be laughing at them.
Lol - someone wake up Jdub.. This could be epic. :)Like the new uniform overall... I too don't know about the 'digital' numbers... It cheapens the overall look.I'm certain the colors are a bit lighter without that black background darkening the uniform.
The "Digtal" numbers is actually the new pirate font outlined with reflect able chrome. Kinda cool when you say it like that, lol. But someone on Twitter made a good point. Every team is going to start going through this changes as the NFL changes to a more independent look per team. Similar to the Jags, Seahawks, Dolphins and now the Bucs.
+1people generally dislike change, but if you see the uniform as part of an overall strategy, both for the team and the league, its actually pretty cool
So...either you like the new unis, or you just aren't very apt to change?

Not quite a strawman, just a question. Can that be said of younger people now days, that they "generally" dislike change?I would disagree about the hardcore fans. I think the homers and "leg-jumpers" will get a stiffy at anything the franchise churns out and will be right there to catch every drop, so to speak. :)
well, that is one way to look at it . . .my point was just that a Buc message board is not the best cross-sample of NFL consumers because it is loaded with purists and purists (of all ages) are generally more resistant to change, hence the name. All people, young and old, generally dislike change, but my guess is that the design would appeal more to young that old . . . which is sort of the point. Apparel sales are tied to winning more than design, but I guess we will see how the jerseys do on the shelves. For what it is worth, Manchester United has WAY more "purists" than the Bucs (ManU purists still wear green and gold) and Nike has updated ManU's unis too . . . I think the ManU jersey is one of the top sellers worldwide.
Change can be good. I loved the change from the old orange uni to the red and pewter. However change for changes sake can be bad, and what Nike have paid a blind chimpanzee with arthritis to produce is awful. We didn't need to change, but if we had to, something slightly more tasteful than is atrocity would have been much more impressive. Less is more and subtle changes to our Uni could have been great. As it stands, I feel embarrassed that my team has to wear this rubbish as it makes us look like a semi pro arena team.

lol
That uniform is ugly. Like the new helmets but not the unis. Too busy.
Does this mean you're renouncing your fandom like you'll do when we sign Vick?
No, ugly uniforms and felons would fall into two different categories. Sort of like bad has ion and stupid. One might change the other won't. You should understand that.
I've read this over and over and I honestly can say that I am unable to understand.
You guys are missing the main point. NO MORE DRACULA COLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, out this uni on the Panthers and you'd be laughing away. There are plenty of changes that are good, the new helmet is fine. The notion that all dislike of new is about a dislike of change is idiotic. We could remain your car into a day-glo green. Would it be good and you feared it only because it was a change? Take the Dr Phil psycho-babble and go away b

I think the last decade of performance may say different. Right or wrong, the Glazers are trying to keep the Bucs relevant and in this instance the timing almost coincides (by chance, I suspect) with the Bucs trying to reinvent the 1995 change with Lovie etc. If thye win, the jersey will sell off the shelf (as will "throwback" apparel, so they really win either way on apparel, so long as the team improves)

Not sure why the autocorrect went with has ion over fashion. Oddly, it did a different "correction" on this go around with the word. Love the randomness sometimes.....most of the times I don't :)
NIKE just stuck one foot in the grave with this design.
dramatic much? LMAO at Nike with a foot in the grave.
No. I think the numbers killed the design and not in the good way.
So when we lose is it because the Bucs hit the "snooze button"? #AlarmClockFontProblems
Only if we call #12 Flash.
You guys are missing the main point. NO MORE DRACULA COLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dracula didn't use an alarm clock. He woke up when he was hungry. Apparently the Bucs feel they needed to wake up hungry?

Its a good thing I didn't post any "psycho babble" because you seem to have had a little difficulty with the non-psycho babble words I used, if the part in bold is what you took away. What is it about message boards that leads to everyone extending a point to the extreme? I never said "ALL" dislike is about dislike of change, I said that you start from that position. People GENERALLY don't like change lol

Winning is the reinvention. JAX tried the uniform redo and it got them no more relevant. Bottom line, I suspect for teams without a strong traditional uniform (Green bay, Chicago, Pit) you are gonna see these redesigns about once a decade now so that they can selll new mercy.
