this game could be about who runs the ball best

judging by our rush defense last Sunday that doesn’t bode well for us

We ran the ball best and didnt win, but that is a promising sign going forward.

We also held Cook to 3 ypc.  Josh Allen running is what killed us

My hope is we can build off of some of what we did yesterday, integrating some more unexpected pass plays now that the run game has shown that it can be used to leverage teams.

I do not think we have any resources to fix the defense,

I am right there with you on the offense.  On the defense, I dont expect it to be great but I doubt going forward that its as bad as that game. We were dismantled by the Ravens last year and we went on a bit of a losing streak but the defense certainly had better performances, losing and winning efforts. And not every team we face has Josh Allen.

Rams will be very tough, no doubt

The Rams lie in wait with Stafford distributing the ball to Nacua and Adams and their three no-name TEs. Williams ain't bad running the ball either. Bowles defense has no answers vs teams that have elite players and coaching on offense. 6-5 here we come. The Bucs had a hot 5-1 start, but they will settle for 10-7 when the dust settles on the regular season. That's a 5-6 finish. The NFC South streak is also in serious jeopardy.

Bryce Young is ass cheaks and they have a much tougher road.

It's in jeopardy if we get swept by the Panthers

make no mistake we need to play better but the worry shouldn't start to settle in unless we end up losing to Arizona and Saints after the Rams loss next Sunday night.

Bucs should go 11-6 while Carolina looking at 8-9

Carolina has @49ers, V Rams, and V Seattle on the schedule.  At BEST, they will go 1-2 there

Assuming they split with Bucs, that is 3 losses which gets them to 8 losses and assuming a win over the Saints in which they already lost to is 9-8

and that 9-8 is assuming wins over the Bucs, Saints, and call it 49ers.  Ain't exactly forgone conclusion.  Panthers likely to be favored in maybe 1 game the rest of the way call it the Saints game.

Bucs on the other hand likely favored in 6 games following the Rams game.  They should go 12-5 but because they will trip up and impossible to win 5 games in a row for this franchise, will drop a game they should win and go 11-6

i mean even when i thought we could go 13-4 after our 5-1 start, i had penciled in losses against Detroit, Buffalo, and Los Angeles so, so far, the only let down has been the Patriots loss which mind you is a 9-2 team.

no need to panic yet even if Carolina somehow beats 49ers next week.  The panic only sets in if the Bucs dont beat the teams they SHOULD beat.

Bryce passed for nearly 450 yards against Atlanta. He has had a hit/miss season, but no pressure coupled with a sloppy/confused secondary makes it concerning.

and I believe that was his second game this year with more than 200 yards passing

I could be wrong just saying don’t get fooled by record. They aren’t as big of a joke as years past but they will still have a losing record this year and we should sweep them

I’ll call it a split just because we are slightly above average team and pull one of those each year

NFL football teams (not just the Bucs) often lose games that dont matter in the larger scheme of things. If the Bucs lose to the Rams and then start winning I dont know how it shakes out in terms of playing for the bye and things like that, but I would expect they lose one of the Panther games (div opponents are tough) and maybe one more depending on  what the wins get them

Yeah. The falcons game is no GIMMIE with Cousins now at quarterback. He loves playing against Bowles defense.

the bye? That’s over unless we win out

Rams and/or Eagles likely to be 13-4.

Yeah, he’s completing like 20 percent of his passes.

“It killed us,” Grizzard said Thursday.

“That’s what we hit on right after the game – well, not right after the game, but on Monday – in that when the defense turns it over and we get the ball on the seven-[or] eight-yard line, whatever it is, and can’t turn that thing into seven [points], then that’s definitely a missed opportunity in a game.

“I know it ended up being a 12-point differential, but at that point, we’ve got to be able to play complementary football, like we talked about. They did a great job turning it over, we need to be able to go get seven [points] – and that was not a good part of the game there for the offense.”

Demeco Ryans and Davis Mills took care of the Bills. Very impressive defense.

Yeah.

Sick defense and Mills hasn’t been too shabby in his limited time as a starter.
