Sorry y'all, but Mayfield is what he is. you can count on him to make plays, but then he makes a bonehead play to lose the game. All these weapons on the offense and he sits back there in the pocket looking all around for someone and then makes a bad throw or just takes off. He IS NOT ELITE.
If you are playing the Buccaneers, all you have to do is wait for us to make some unforced errors and you can beat us every time.
I am not sure what happened to Baker on that last play. Evans was in his break to the inside when he released the ball. Baker has regressed.
Also, we have signed Goedeke to a LT deal, and man his Guardian Cap ass is a complete liability. I really thought he was going to be special.

yeah we need an offensive minded coach to see if they can fix him and if he’s worth investment of 50M deal. Essentially coen like numbers.

Playcalling should have been less conservative in the first half, especially after that opening drive. Let Baker do his passing thing early, then close out the game with the run…we did it backwards, when the Carolina defense knew what was coming.
Not impressed with playcalling - and o-line penalties only created dire situations that had to be overcome.

sure offense takes the brunt of it with not punching it in for a TD when refs gifted you a 15 year penalty on the field goal; and ofcourse Baker INT to end season
and all the Goedeke penalties
but whoever our defensive coordinator was to give up that td before half and to be clear that was a coaching decision formation to not have help there: that was bad
special teams actually played good minus bullocks #57 who should be executed
It’s the same story every game. It doesn’t matter how much we run the ball and run clock. We can’t get 3rd and short and our defense will give up more points than we score. And half our fans beg for us to run the ball more. That’s what you get when you run the ball on every first and second down and can’t get 3rd and short.
