I really don't because the reality is, the defender never even has the ball until the very end ripping it out. If they went down with it together and one comes out, that's one thing... But when only one player has it caught and the other can just rip it out after the hits the ground because the play is continuing... It's ridiculous. The catch was completed. He's down. The ball is THEN ripped out.
This just seems like common sense... And the defense is early and holding his arm too... Could have easily just called it PI like the broncos got twice later.
If I'm a bills fan that string of events is absolutely brutal. I expected a makeup call but instead the broncos are rewarded for throwing two lobs up and praying the contact is called.
