Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet 1mGood call. RT @M_Ceb28: @RapSheet and Tampa Bay now for Cassel…with FrazierThere are no words for this. All of you that hate Glennon....it could get worse, it could get MUCH worse.
Lol doubt it happens.I hope it doesn't too.
Lmao, I just saw that on Twitter. This QB position is really starting to worry me. IF they can't get someone early in the draft like JFF, then I think Glennon is by FAR the best option versus Vick or Cassel.
I'm not worried.Tedford/Smith will have a plan to address the QB position. They came in the door with it, otherwise would not have been hired. Will be an interesting ride to say the least. :)
Cassel is a good choice to be a backup or a holdover starter until a rookie is ready to start. He's not going to lead the Bucs to a Super Bowl, but he's capable of winning games and filling in for an injured starter.
Just saw that he'd be opting out of a 3.7m dollar contract because he'd be getting paid more on the open market. If that's true, it's unlikely the Bucs would be able to sign him as a backup to Glennon or as an incumbent for a rookie, which is the role I'd want him in.

I agree with this. It will be interesting to see if they have a better plan than the Red Boarders do. ;)

Cassel would be a fine back up.

Yep...while we're at it, we should sign Joshua Freeman and just have Vikings reunion?
I'd rather have him than Vick, but I don't want him starting over Glennon unless he really shits the bed. Wouldn't mind him as a backup though.

Yea, thats the main issue...he's looking for starter money.
So now we are making possible QB decisions based on our DC? With the crapshow that Minnesota had at QB last season? GGGGTTTTFFFOOOOO. I could see McCown. Even Vick. But big ol' super PASS on Cassell.
Cassel would sure solve that whole mobility thing...NOT!
Tallest midget?
Nonono to Cassel
