We have our elite weak side linebacker. We have a legit middle linebacker. Unless Lovie thinks we need to upgrade the Mike, then I don't see LB as a top priority.
I still think the dead certainity that Mack can do the Von Miller thing is a bit presumptuous since, well really, no one else has done the Von Miller thing I'm not sure following an example of one is your best plan in the crapshoot of the draft,
I completely agree and echo a similar point often on here about not getting yourself into a situation where things have to go perfectly in order to work. But just because Denver is the only 4-3 team that runs that kind of scheme with Miller, it doesn't necessarily mean Miller is the only player capable of doing that. I think it's pretty likely someone like Clay Matthews could play the same role to a lessor degree. It doesn't seem like too big of a stretch to say Mack may be of a similar talent to Matthews.
Maybe FRG....but there are a dozen 3-4 playmaking linebackers like Clay Matthews. There is only one Von Miller.

And I would take pretty much all of those dozen 3-4 playmaking linebackers like Clay Matthews.

Exactly.
He was mocked to us by both Kiper and McShay today, fwiw
They are all on crack.Mack has zero cover skills and doesn't look like he's could possibly handle the RDE spot full time. So are we going to draft a situational pass rusher with the no.7 overall pick? He is not going to cover very well so how do you keep him on the field for 3 downs? Situational pass rushers are not that valuable. I think the experts have it all wrong. Mack goes to Buffalo. A team where he will thrive either inside or outside.
