There are always one, two, maybe three games where the Bucs look unprepared and not ready to play vs lesser opponents. These are unaccounted for in the list. I'd say a range of 7-10 to 10-7 is possible. Another 8-9 or 9-8 season seems most likely to me. Of course I would welcome a better result.
Sounds kind of like how KC always plays crappy vs. IND for whatever reasons. Sometimes there's legit reasons (key players being injured for example), but many times KC loses to IND for no good reason at all. I used to get pretty pissy about it, but over the last three or so meetings I've come to expect it.
DO you guys have a team like that? One that, on paper, you should dominate, but somehow, they always muddy it up and sometimes they eke out a W?
it all depends on the division. we're not superbowl contender, but getting into playoffs would be great. last season was real fun!
I'd take any winning record with Mike going over 1k

winning record that leads to playoffs and count me in
the 2010s were brutal. We did have 2 winning records but no playoffs was pretty weak.
and of course Evans getting over 1,000 is always fun to root for
schedule appears pretty difficult this year. 9 wins would be a success, hopefully good enough for playoffs
I don't think 9 wins will do it this year. The Saints and Panthers will probably suck this year, but I think the Falcons are ready to put up some wins this year if they can line up a decent QB. I'd say the Bucs need to put up 10 or 11 wins to make it this year, either by winning the division or wild card.it all depends on the division. we're not superbowl contender, but getting into playoffs would be great. last season was real fun!

well Saints, will end up anywhere from 7 to 10 wins as they've done every year post Drew Brees. I mean even if the Aaron Brooks days in the early 2000's they were always around .500. that's just who they...and who Derek Carr is... so hope you are right but wouldn't count them out
Panthers should improve because quite frankly, how could they not. I agree though, their ceiling is likely 6 wins if a successful year
the Falcons to me depends on the QB. they get Kirk Cousins then yeah, i see them in the same ballpark as us. They get Fields...ehhh...yeah maybe that 7-9 win category
also since the 7th seed was added, 9-8 teams have made the playoffs each of the last 3 years. that being said, they've also missed it so yes, i much prefer double digit wins to secure the victory; just saying there's a chance with 9!
Saints keep restructuring old aging vets, the are a 500 team and getting worse. Panthers if the owner keeps out of the way and the QB can see over the OL will improve. Falcons definitely in short term most dangerous, but ok drafts a lot of their recent strength is free agency.
But the most optimistic thing about the Buccaneers is their drafting. They have been building decently since 2020. 2023 draft is younger and hard to evaluate but at least two strong pieces in Kancey and YaYa. Mauch and Palmer developing. Dennis I did not see enough. But looked good preseason and is learning behind Lavonte. 2020 has two of the best in the NFL at their positions with Wirfs and Winfield. 2021 was not a good draft. 2022 was a solid draft with Goedeke, White,McCollum, Otton and Camarada. Goedeke is a solid tackle.. McCollum is already unseating both Davis and Dean. Camarada one of the best in the league and plays a huge part in field position.
The window for the conference is coming down, defenses are still very strong for Atlanta, Saints, and Carolina. QB & run game will be the difference-maker for the South.
At this point, re-signing our FA’s & improvement through the draft have certainly look achievable!
…agree, it all depends on QB in Atlanta, they have a solid team everywhere else. We’ll soon see!
W/L prediction before FA/draft makes no sense!
+ this year schedule looks brutal compared to last year, need a great draft and some Shaq Barrett's vibes in FA for the double digit W...
but optimism isn't a bad word, we're the div champ... it's the NFC South baby!!!
