All haters. Kirwan Jerry Angelo nflosophy .They are all just anti-Glennon haters obviously. It's not because his second half QB rating was 29.

Kirwan....never been known as a scouting guru, has he?Angelo? Traded a 2nd round pick for Gaines Adams. Tell me about how good of a player evaluator he is. Also....did he ever get a decent QB in Chicago?Nflosophy? Nice article but wasn't he a low-level front office type (non-scouting) with the Bucs? You shouldve heard him spew rainbows and sunshine about Freeman last offseason. It was terrific. Dude, you are the Fox News of the Bucs QB saga.

Kirwin was a scout for two different teams, one being the Buccaneers and has coached in the NFL as an assistant coach. But nevermind I am sure that you know better. And the nflosophy guy just did a breakdown of the Bucs that was spot on. Only issue I had with it was he said Dotson was a better run blocker than pass protector. That bit may be off, but the rest of it was spot on. Every last bit of it he nailed. He has spent time in an NFL facility but I am sure you know better sitting on your perch behind that keyboard. Jerry Angelo was a pretty bad GM and his ratings are garbage but he was mostly right in his assessment of Glennon. What agenda would these guys have in downplaying Mike Glennon?

Probably right. I was also probably the Fox News when it came to firing Schiano as well. I was banging on the table for Schiano to be fired a full year before you schmucks joined in. History always repeats itself.

Who was Kirwan responsible for signing? Im an avid reader and listener of Pat Kirwan. Im a fan. But dude has more insight on contract negotiations than he does talent evaluation. That's the truth.Nflosophy was spot on according to who? You? Again, what are his credentials?Angelo was a horrible GM (your words) but was mostly right about Glennon.......read those words, please, I am begging you, before responding again.

Dude, you are the Fox News of the Bucs QB saga.

He's incredibly biased, clueless, and generally trolling.  Sounds more like MSNBC or CBS.

The fact that Angelo was a horrible GM, and didn't like Glennon, should give people hope that Glennon will be a solid starter soon.

You guys keep comparing Glennon in his rookie year without offseason starter reps and without several of the starters the offense was designed around against established vets.  Take all of your favorite QBs in the league and compare their rookie years to Glennon's.  Out of 31 other starters I bet you won't find many that had a better rookie year than Glennon did, and of those few most had a better team to work with.

I have already DESTROYED this nonsense more than once.

Except that every time time you claim to "destroy this nonsense" you actually don't.  You do one of several things- Sometimes you continue to compare him to non rookies.  Sometimes you compare him to rare exceptions like Luck.  Sometimes you compare him to guys that got into very good situations like Russel Wilson.  Sometimes you quote rediculously specific stats and ignore the overall picture.  None of these destroy my statement- they actually reinforce it.  In all fairness it is possible that I missed the thread that you provide such amazing insight- would you be so kind as to link it?

The only thing interesting about any one of the not so glowing reviews of Glennon for Bucs fans to think about is that there are at least a few who have the opinion. While it may not be at all, it does make you wonder if this is an opinion felt around the league including within the new staff. If it's not, then it really doesn't matter.

Why can't the answer just be nobody knows and let him play in 2014 to find out?

Highest probability...Will need a good backup plan.  Can't wait to see what Tedford has planned...

Ultimately that may end up being the scenario but I'm not sure coaches think in this fashion....at least not at this position.

Two. Wright was balling. And you could say three when the backup rb's were balling as well. He's not a winner. The most he's ever going to do is keep you from losing games, and that even seems doubtful.I really have to wonder what you guys are watching. He's an average qb, who honestly isn't as good as tacobell freeman, but is a little better than druggie freeman. We might as well have the other mccown back. Same thing

Yeah Bobby Rainey balled really hard one game and disappeared LOL shows how much you know. The only other game he went over 100 yards besides Atlanta was against Buffalo and that was only because he had that 80 yard run. Besides those two instances Rainey looked like the RB he is which is a 3rd string running back.

Seems like that's kind of where the majority of posters are.  With the caveat that many of us would like another legitimate contender (or two) for the position.  Dude might be great, I don't know.  It's the not knowing that has me taking issue with the word "let" in your sentence.  Glennon didn't "earn" his starting position in 2013.  He didn't do enough, in my opinion, to "let" him roll into 2014 as the unquestioned starter who we should build the future around.  That's all.

If the bucs can't do better than let him play 2014 - but finding someone better shouldn't be a huge accomplishment.
