We need offense, offense, offense. Oh, and safety help. Big time. For all of you clamoring for an edge rusher this mock is not for you. Our pass rush will be greatly (or, at the very least, modestly) improved next year with a healthy Jack Smith, a healthy Noah Spence, and Chris Baker clogging up the middle. Look for McCoy to have a big year. Without further adieu:
st Rd: RB Dalvin Cook -- Let's get real, no one in the later rounds can do half of what he can. He is the answer to our RB prayers.
nd Rd: S Budda Baker -- This will require that we trade up 10 spots and forfeit our 2018 4th round pick. So be it. He's the best safety in the draft.
rd Rd: WR Josh Reynolds -- Not a burner, but a tall target and may have the best hands in the draft. Crazy big catch radius. And I just love that he and Evans are close buddies. Chemistry counts.
th Rd: TE Jeremy Sprinkle -- I've been on the Shaheen train for months, but Sprinkle blocks like an OT. Incredibly long arms and huge hands. Best blocking TE in draft. Also, a VERY good offensive weapon.
th Rd: S John Johnson -- Can we just wave Conte already?! Johnson is a little thin, but boy is he aggressive. A real playmaker. Terrific rotational safety.
th Rd: WR Rodney Adams -- Gets a higher grade from NFL.com than Malachi Dupre. I love this kid and you can't teach speed. He's the answer to our anemic kickoff return game.
th Rd: Best QB available
