So in my mind, Licht earned enough to be on the hot seat.

Bowles and Grizzard earned a pink slip

Agreed. I don't think Licht should be fired, but he should be put on notice by the owners. He's signed players to over $650M in contracts since Bowles took over in 2022. I would probably be curious as to why I wasn't getting more bang for that buck in a shitty division.

Licht is not on the hotseat. As much as some fans might want it, he won't be on the hotseat anytime soon.  I think the Glazers trust him and don't want to rock the boat even if things aren't going well at the moment.  Whatever my opinion is or any of the fans, I don't think the Glazers are anywhere near putting Licht on notice.  But regardless of that, I don't think Licht is happy with how things are unfolding and I don't think it's acceptable to him.  He's talked about his growth as a GM, and it's time to grow some more - grow a spine to be specific- and make some changes that may not make him popular around One Buc.

licht will probably stay, bowles is gone already. when gruden blew the season (and it was monte defense that actually did it) he was gone

the only way licht has to go is if new HC is a big name and wants his owm GM

I don't even see that happening though. That would be a mistake because the GM shouldn't be at the beck and call of the coach. The GM has to take a more long term perspective than the coach who as we can see can go from the penthouse to the outhouse in no time.  A coach has to win now.  A GM wants to win, but has to have a plan in place that can take years.

But just because you brought it up who would be a big enough name to let them bring in their own GM?  Nick Saban? I look at all the most likely candidates and none of them come close to rising to the "hand him the keys to One Buc" level.  I can't think of anyone not already employed as a NFL head coach who rises to that level.

Liam Coen picked his GM in Jacksonville. Right or wrong, it happens.

His only misstep thus far.

After another two drafts that will be determined.  Right now he is able to scheme around those issues on offense.  Granted the Jaguars defense was very talented to begin with.

This is accurate.  They needed to have someone come in a fix the QB, if he was indeed fixable.  It’s apparent he is.  How was he fixed?  Good run schemes with RB talent that may be top 15 in the league and that may be generous. A consistent running game changes everything.

Whiffing on their first round pick hasn’t hurt them at all.

A consistent running game changes everything.

The Bucs were top 5(ish) run game in 2024 and Mayfield had a career year.

The Bucs are bottom 3rd(ish) run game in 2025 and Mayfield comes back down to earth.

Massive o-line injuries and Grizz versus Coen
