Green Bay, Indy, and Cincinnati in danger of not selling out playoff games. 13,000+ seats available for Green Bay http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2013/story/_/id/10222617/thousands-unsold-seats-lambeau-field
It's because of the ridiculous amount the NFL jacks up ticket prices to for playoff games. The people running this league need to seriously get a grip and get in touch with the fanbase. People can't realistically afford that these days.
Tagliabue understood it was best not to bleed every dime out of fans and not to overexpose the product. Goodell doesn't.
You know prices are fucked up when Green Bay isn't selling out.
How come these other teams' fans get to use the cost excuse?
Tickets are starting at $122 for Green Bay on Ticketmaster. You're telling me a team with a 30 year-waiting list for season tickets, can't get enough fans to show up for a playoff game? I call bs. Give it 2 days and it will be sold out.
100,000 people on that waiting list reportedly, why does it take 2 days+?
It's Tuesday, they are probably all still hungover from celebrating making the playoffs, or snowed into their houses? I guarantee it will be a sell-out, and scalpers will make a fortune.
I don't think the point was it wouldn't be a sell out. The questions is why aren't these games already sold out? When Bucs playoff games didn't sell out immediately it was the fans suck or Gruden sucksThis was interesting:The team gave season-ticket holders another chance to buy seats on Monday morning before opening the sale to the public later in the day. A team spokesman said Tuesday the four-ticket limit per transaction that was in place Monday has been lifted.
Who can't afford $122 to watch a playoff game of your childhood team? I'm a poor college student, and I would be there in an instant. The economy isn't that bad, it's just been 32 hours, give it time.

Took 30 minutes to sell out Seahawks game and poor college kids do dumb things with their money all the time so bad example.
Also remember way back then when Bucs season ticket holders were last offered playoff tix? You had to shell out all the money upfront for every conceivable home game, no matter how unlikely to be played if you wanted to reserve before sale to the general public. The potential NFC championship games was much more expensive. Add to that, it is forecasted to be single digits in Green Bay and teens in Cincinnati with snow.If Goodel would just stop squeezing every conceivable nickel out of the fans for his stated goal of tripling revenue! In the long run, it is going to backfire.
You know prices are **CENSORED**ed up when Green Bay isn't selling out.
The smallest market of any team? Now I've heard it all!

Too bad he needs the OWNERS approval for everything. He's just the figurehead aka a puppet you can be mad at instead of the owners.
Heard season-ticket holders weren't required to buy all potential playoff games when they first were offered, so most didn't because GB was in the midst of a losing streak and no faith they would make playoffs. So they took a chance and now will have to overpay on scalper's market.
